Post of the Whatever: Cantrell ya how right you are.

EJ "Lucky" Cantrell said...

Get ready for the trouncing. This has been worth the wait.

Doogie will now be facing the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners. No more battle of the bottom feeders with Doogie versus Beavis. He will now face off against Steve Garrett. Steve hails from the firm of Curtis, Heinz and O'Keefe, arguably the best municipal lawyers in the city. They represent and prosecute for cities too numerous to mention in this post.

Con: What does that mean Doug?

Doogie (glassy eyed and confused): I think this means we lost but I'll have to ask my brother..... or maybe one of my brother's friends.

SLAM DUNK.

  2. Mr. Whitefolks,

Please don't hold back on your comments. Go ahead and tell us how you really feel.
I think they have me and you confused, but they have almost everything confused. What I find truly amazing is that I don't hide very well. If anyone wants to know who I am, all they have to do is ask. It's also amazing how far in the gutter that website has fallen. Their own people don't even want to post on their. That's because a few month's back I encouraged a lot of people to quit posting on their, I knew it would drive them crazy if the only people they had to talk with were each other! By the way, Poseidon C3 missiles used to be launched out of SSBN Submarines, before they switched to Trident missiles. Just a little nautical history lesson.

  3. Gravy,

I will have to disagree with one thing. I think Mr. Schock is a very competant lawyer. It's just my opinion, but I do have some facts to back it up. I am glad to hear that Mr. Garrett is also.

  4. Thanks for the opinion.

Nobody said there aren't any competent lawyers also feeding along the bottom. But why settle for just competent? It is no shot to Mr. Schock to acknowledge that he does not have the resources or firepower of a firm like Curtis, Heinz and O'Keefe.

  9. ORT PR,

You movie is a hoot! And how appropriate, being that Owenby and Peggy Hill are both substitues. I believe that hardly justifies calling oneself a teacher as the former recently did in an ad campaign.
After all, they let me sub and I hardly identify myself as a "teacher" in introductions, advertisements, or otherwise.
I guess if one of them goes by RN, another can call themselves teacher.

  10. Well there is little man the 4 foot 11 inch inspector who came back at the behest of the Brown Crew so they could thwart the permit process.

There is Charlie Karam's 61 year old cousin who she hired for Public Works so he could get a pension.

There is her friend's the owner of Grandma's Restaurant her daughter she hired for downstairs at Public Works.

Then there are the contracts like the xerox machines leased to Overland by Karam's Cousin for 30K

Oh who can forget Ann's Carpet Bagger Friend for replacements at the CC carpet.

We should never forget that Knode, Owensby, Sellers, and the Queen wanted to hire after the fact it had been exposed a child pornographer and registered sex offender to be the insurance broker
    for the city.

Let's not forget Ben Branch the guy indicted by the Feds who she wanted to be the Police Chief.

I guess we should count Joe King the indicted and found guilty former city manager of Berkeley the guy Ann wanted to hire for Overland's City Adminstrator.

Yea the ORT sure make brilliant decisions. You know you can really judge people by the friends they keep.

  15. UPDATE: There was a hearing today (Feb 06) on the suit filed by the Mayor to block the Recall from appearing on the April ballot. The hearing was actually conducted in the Judges chambers. Eventually we were told the Judge would be considering the arguments presented, and would issue a ruling by Thursday (Feb 8th).

I wrote about this in greater detail here, but thought everyone might like a quick update on the issue.

  19. Who needs two days? The Post has reported on the effort to block the recall (and it went in the favor of common sense).
