posting and new people

I am switching comments back to un-moderated.
Bear you are welcome to post here but we have a few rules.
If you say something is a fact you MUST provide documentation. That is what differentiates us from the other site, we cite our references here.
We do not allow personal attacks on other posters on this site. There will be no flame wars on here. If you want to respond to something that completely lacks any connection to reality, is a complete and utter fabrication and was posted on another site that purports to give the truth about Overland politics or someones horrid toupee feel free. but flaming of you fellow posters will not be tolerated.
Please do not direct profanity at your fellow posters. They may allow posters to use the C**T word on the other website but we do not. Direct quotes are different. If you hear any of the council people use profanity then feel free to quote them.
You are responsible for you own legal fees, anything you say on here is protected under the blog copyright but all opinions expressed are your own.
Finally repetitive postings will be eliminated. If you come on here and just enter Purzner won! 50 times you will be banned.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Music Note: Once again you seem not to understand the law, the Constitution and the basic rights of our society.

The First Amendment, and all other Amendments, was written to protect the people from the government. Example: If a website run by a government agency allowed public comments, it would be subject to 1st amendment restrictions.

However, these restrictions do not apply to a privately owned organization. For example, submitting a letter to the editor at the Post Dispatch is no guarantee that it will be published. That is because the Post is not a government body and reserves the right to print what it chooses to. If they don't print a letter from you they are NOT violating your first amendment rights. There is no freedom of Speech in private publications.

Blue Eyes: Where did I say anything about personal attacks on OverlandChat? I think you are confusing me with someone else.

Cybil Note stated we have "new" rules on here. I hate to tell her but these are the rules we have always gone by. It's just that all of the previous posters understood these rules. It was only when posters from overlandchat started to migrate over here that we had to actually put them down or codify them. But for OVCC it's just business as usual.
