Every Imaginary Man has Their Price.

I am convinced that Music Note is an ancient hydra.

"MN and I have never met Blue Eyes, only on the computer. But he seems like a very nice person.MN is our nrighbor."

Well I think that it is time for all three of you to get together over dinner. Three like-thinkers as you really ought to get together because "birds of a feather do flock together". That would be really nice. You could work on a book together.

Should I be so bold to reserve a table for four at the Mandarin House so that we may finally get acquainted. I am willing to pay for the entire meal as well as give each one of you a door prize of $1,500.00 for your trouble. If an easy thousand doesn't wet your appetites then maybe fifteen hundred will.

I'll tell you what, if only two of you can make it, the offer is still good. I believe it is the Blue Eyes and Fine Wine persona's that have families. Music Note probably doesn't have time. As you know, she has been working on the first book in her forthcoming book, "History of Overland Politics and Administration, The Lying Years 1950-2000". By the way, if all three of you contribute to the book you can save publishing by hiring only one copy editor. I think one will be able to handle the work because you make so many similar mistakes in your writing. Probably the most consistent and common error in each of your writings is forgetting to punctuate your interrogatory sentences with a question mark. You would think three writers from very different epochs would make very different mistakes. It is like they have the same literal fingerprint.

I am sure an easy fifteen hundred bucks wo
uld help out towards any number of uses. Children's college fund for example. "We see wong, and we try to ride it."

I swear to God, Mike.

Gravy,

As always, well done! I have not been able to check in and catch up here as often as I would like, I have been busy on the campaign trail. Kenny has been busy also; I have run into him every day this week while trying to fight the good fight in ward 3. I always wave and sometimes he waves back. I truly feel sorry for him. I have found several copies of his flyer on the streets in ward 3; apparently many feel that it has little literary value.

c3, those copy's have value to me. If you could save one for me I'd appreciate it, as I would like to add it to my file of ridiculous political propaganda.

As for "Blue Eyes'" most recent post, I address it here on The Overland Examiner because my response was simply too long for this comments section.

No, Sweetpickle and MusicNote are not the same person (though they offend sound like they share the same mind (J/K)).

As for the same sex relationship issue. If such an ordinance exists in Overland it shouldn't. Who people choose to have a relationship with (so long as both parties are of legal age) is really no business of the government, on any level, in my opinion.

Thanks Sailor. I deleted the post and corrected my error.

Let me get this straight. Music Note is the same person as Sweaty Pickle? I just read on the other site that Music Note has a wife which would mean that Sweaty has a wife. I believe it has been stated that Sweaty is a woman named Dill. I personally am OK with the same sex marriage/civil union concept but I believe Overland voters passed an ordinance in the 1950's outlawing such relationships. I remember voting on it. Of course, those were the good old days of free trash service when all we had to do was sit around and try to figure out our neighbors' sewer bill.

No I'm not. :-)

Every time I read something about life back in "the good old days" I have a passing moment of wishing I lived in those "simpler" times.

Then I remember how much "simpler" it really was with all the racial oppression, the McCarthyism, and the "anti-everything that isn't just like me" mindset of society back then.

It's not long before I am once again very happy to be living in my own time. :-)

Goat and Pickle are two "real" different people. The fabricted people are FINE WINE and BLUE EYES. Those are ulter egos of the above mentioned. It is extremely obvious in their pen and ink so to speak. I don't think anybody has accused SourassPickle of being the infamous Sybil Goat. The common bond they all share is that they are liars and extremely delousional. They fabricate stories and expect people to swallow their garbage that spews freely from their mouths...or fingers rather.

Looks like Councilman Knode has decided to start using his web site. Councilman Knode seems to take issue with my reference to concerns about Red Light Cameras in my article about the 02/26/07 Council meeting which can be found here.

I responded to Councilman Knodes comments in this article. You can find this article and others like it at The Overland Examiner. Remember to scroll down where you get there as we've been busy lately.

Now "Blue Eyes" says I'm making fun of seniors. "Blue Eyes" feel free to ask around my neighborhood, I think you'll be surprised to hear what the seniors in my area have to say about me, even those who support Mayor Purzner.

"Blue Eyes" your credibility in my eyes is non-existent despite of, not because of the fact that you are a senior and a veteran.

What I said "Blue Eyes" is that the 'good old days' were not that good for everyone. Interestingly enough it was mostly the people who are now seniors that were responsible for the positive social changes we enjoy today.

I also posted about how I felt seniors deserve discounts and the like because they paid their dues and we are all benefiting from the efforts of the generations that went before us (as they benefited from their predecessors). You chose to ignore that post and present the other out of context. The 3-4 people who are active at OverlandChat might buy into that, but I am confident everyone else sees though your tactics.

"Blue Eyes", that's a classic tactic that you are employing. When your positions on policy issues that are completely devoid of substance are challenged, rather than continue to debate them you turn to personal attacks that are equally devoid of evidence.

It is obvious that discussing anything with you is a complete waste of time. If you ever actually answer any of the questions put to you about the issues facing Overland or manage to present anything that resembles a fact let me know.

"Blue Eyes", I find it curious that you decided to go on the attack with me right after I sent an email response to "Music Note" explaining that all you have to do is go back in the archives at OverlandChat to see where the hate and discontent online got started. She never replied and next thing I know you are on the offensive. I find that as curious as I do the fact that suddenly we can only go back 3 pages in history on OverlandChat when we used to be able to go back 5.

"FINE WINE" Has been hammering SuzyJax about being wrong in regards to how they charge for the sewer service. According to "FINE WINE" we are charged based on the number of bathrooms in our houses, not water usage.

Well, I quick look at the MSD homepage turns up this explanation.

Unless you do not have a water meter on your house you are charged a base fee plus an additional fee based on your water usage in the winter months.

If you don't have a water meter (does anyone not have a water meter anymore?), then you are charged based on the number of rooms, toilets and showers in your home (which is basically the same method the water company uses).

So "Fine Wine", It is based on water usage, unless you do not have a water meter in which case it is based on not just the number of bathrooms but the number of all the rooms in the house plus the number of fixtures.

"Blue Eyes" Times change I guess. I served in the US Navy in Desert Shield/Storm as a shipboard electrician. I served again in Operations Enduring/Iraqi Freedom as a Seabee electrician. At no time in my service would being called "sailor boy" have earned anyone less then a punch in the jaw by the average squid.

Perhaps that was considered a some sort of term of respect in your time, but it wasn't in my time in the US Navy. Nor have I ever heard of it being that way in the past.

"FINE WINE" I couldn't find the original posts about the sewer bills on OVCC, however a quick review of the posts on OC suggests I misread what you were saying. My mistake. We all make them from time to time. :-)

When it comes to the sewer bill it is based on water usage, but only winter usage (which avoided the costs of law watering, pools and the like though it could be a problem due to ruptured pipes which happen most often from freezing in the winter). That is if you have a water meter.

If you don't have a meter your water and your sewer bills are based on the number of rooms in you house as well as the number of bathroom fixtures.

It seemed to me that the actual billing methodology was missed by all. Thankfully, MSD has that information online here.

"Blue Eyes" I honestly could care less about what you call me. I was just pointing out how even when someone like myself makes an effort not to be personally insulting, you'll still poke fun at anything you can about them if they don't agree with you politically. It's childish in my opinion, and it probably impacts your credibility with most of the online community in Overland.

Feel free to call me whatever you like, the only effect it has on me is that it drives the traffic up at The Overland Examiner. :-)

The sewer charge explaination I posted was one provided by MSD when I questioned why my bill was higher than another family member (a family of four). It is also detailed here, on their website (Sailor did post the explanation, too, but if you have to see it from the source).

Yes, it is not fair. But, what about trash bills? They are the same per household, whether you have 1 or 7 people. Sometimes, that is just the way it goes...
