When you are losing the argument, it's best just to change the topic
Was driving around our fair city yesterday. I saw some new Purzner supporters signs. I won't even comment too much on how they are yellow with red print--making them confusing to those that COGG put out.
However, these signs state "No Tax Increase". As if Prop A was a bond issue. It is a recall issue. I assume this is what one does when faced with a losing battle--change the issue. Voting Yes on Prop A will not raise your taxes. In fact, if we keep Queen Ann in office we will have to eliminate services and/or raise taxes in light of the never-ending streams of lawsuits that go hand-in-hand with the mayor's actions.
This "no tax increase" is just more of the same scare the Seniors tactics the ORT uses in all their campaigns. They know they cannot win on the argument of her record over the last 12 months thus they debase themselves to this methodology. It is an insult to voters to even put out such signs.
Up next....Marky Mark is busy printing signs that say "Keep the Trash, Keep the Mayor".

Well, Sweaty,
It’s because your two friends Knode and Owensby admitted in an insurance committee meeting that they had met with Matt McWilliams to discuss him representing Overland as their insurance agent.
It's no secret that Brown and King were very good friends.
It's also no secret that when Brown was on the Overland board he brought McWilliams in as agent.
It's no secret that McWilliams has a prior sexual predator conviction.
It's also no secret that Brown brought McWilliams in as St. Chuck’s insurance man.
It's no secret that Joe King was indicted from taking bribes from Matt McWilliams.
It's no secret that King was indicted for accepting these bribes.
It's no secret he is now in federal prison.
It's also no secret that Owensby, Sellers, Knode, and Purzner met with McWilliams and began to negotiate taking Overland’s insurance contract.
It's no secret it occurred after he was indicted for another sex crime: child pornography.
It's no secret that McWilliams is now also in federal prison.
It’s no secret that Sellers’ stepson is a convicted murderer.
Sweaty it's no secret what type of people your gang associates with and who you really are.
The sickest, most vial predators in the world are the ORT's core supporters.
I suspect there is a very special place in hell for people who live their lives so deceptively.
Great post suzyjax! ghost of nm.
Please next post, don't hold back your feelings. It's not good for you, let it out. I'm sure Mr. Kings name was mentioned in the minutes of a council meeting. I apologize, but I do not have the time to search for it right now.
Do you think Courtney a/k/a snoop dog, got into the recalled dog food? I here it is poisonous and can damage the kidneys. Poison can also cause hallucinations and brain damage. Or was it just simply too much of the green Beer and the company of Owenswig? (eeeeeeeeew)
I think Courtney’s post has to be the absolute most outrageous post, she has beat out Dannyinfector, Music Note (her other personalities included), and Sweetpickles.
I forgot to mentioned that its also no secret that Sweaty and Joe King have a long history to. I seem to remember a Sweaty "Meeting" where she invited Joe King to speak.
Oh and its also no secret that Joe King got indicted and charged for MAIL FRAUD too. Corelations and patterns aboud.
Remember the ORT doesn't know who their friends are and that is perfectly fine with me.
Unincorporated Man,
Our Old DI may be getting a little bit of a bad rap this time. I don't think he is the one who talked about recall Councilman May during the Citizens comments of the meeting.
I tend to think that was Knode's campaign manager, the one who who has no hips, broad shoulders and is a unattractive female. This unattractive female also has an Adams Apple. First woman I've ever seen with one.
While I would love to think that Di was the source of most of the evil around, I've seen him and he was not the one who spke at the Citizen comments Monday Evening.
What legal basis is there for a recall of Jerry May? I do find it funny that there are "recall Jerry May" signs up in two Ward 1 locales.
Doesn't the ORT worry that promoting recalls might backfire on them and have people voting to recall the mayor?
Seeathy, How can you explain bitchy one moment ("Maybe you ought to be on the terror watch list")
and self-righteous screeds such as " bet he rolls over in his grave at the use of his name with such dis-respectful writing".
If that's the case, Vlassic, Mt Olive, and Heifitz are probably ready to sue you over how you have destroyed the public's idea of their product.
Ex-Berkeley manager gets 46 months for kickbacks
By Robert Patrick
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Friday, Jan. 12 2007
Former Berkeley City Manager Joseph King got 46 months in federal prison today
for accepting $32,500 in kickbacks to steer the city's insurance business to a
specific company from 2003 to 2006.
King accepted $5,000 twice a year in exchange for ensuring that Berkeley's
workers' compensation and property and casualty insurance went through an
independent insurance agent of Associated Insurance Group, prosecutors say.
That agent, identified in court documents only as “M.M, has been identified as
Matthew McWilliams by company president Greg Wherry.
Wherry said the company had no knowledge of the bribery or fraud and
prosecutors have said there has been no allegation that company officials or
other employees knew about the bribes.
The scheme cost taxpayers in two ways, Assistant U.S. Attorney Hal Goldsmith
said. They paid more for the insurance to cover the bribes and probably paid
more for the insurance than if the bidding had been competitive, although no
one was able to estimate the cost.
King, 39, of the 1200 block of Hermans Orchard Drive in Florissant, was fired
after the charges were revealed. He could have faced up to 10 years in prison
after pleading guilty in October to one count of bribery and 20 years on one
count of mail fraud, but sentencing guidelines set the likely range between 46
and 57 months in prison.
C3,
Thank you for responding about the ordinance on the medical conditions of the employees.
So she is breaking that ordinance also.
Couldn't that also mean possible lawsuits from these employees for making private medical conditions public?
Racer X,
It has one because it started out with one.
It goes by from what I heard the name Lauren, used to be Billy. Is in the union either a carpenter or laborer, not sure. Also heard it was in the navy at one time.
Suzyjax,
That's the problem they have no legal basis for a recall if they really even have one started. The one I heard they are using is a joke and will be thrown out as soon as the see it.
I saw one of the funniest things. A house on Spencer a few blocks before page has one of those green and white “JESUS” signs in their back yard, and right next to it they put one of those retain Purzner as Mayor signs. That in itself has to be considered blasphemy. What a hoot. It must be because they believed Purzner the lying RN, when she claimed to be an angel. LOL… very comical.
Well Sweaty, Joe King was selected as Mayor by Babatunde Deinbo, the mayor of Berkely in October 2001 with no help from anyone.
Deinbo was then defeated for mayor the current Mayor. Upon his defeat he challenged the results of the elections. Who did he retain as an attorney? Eric Tolen, one again Tolen lost that case.
The math is simple even you should be able to connect the dots. FYI who do you think did Deinbo's printing?
The current mayor stated in the media she is going to use EW Gateway to assit them in the search for a new city Manager.
How do I know I have very close relatives who live in the City and are active in their system.
For the record, I was at Mandarin House all day last Saturday and none of you were there. Not Music Note, no Blue Eyes and "his" imaginary family, no Goat, no Bear, no Courtney. None of them. I will be the judge on the bet. Why because I am more intelligent than any of you ORTs. Its a fact because I said it was so.
So keep up your lying about being at Mandarin House just like the rest of the lies. Its fun to watch the "three" of you squirm as the last days of your beloved Ann pass by.
And, Fine Dumbass, none of those words in your post are French. No matter which way you turn, I'll keep pointing out the way your dull mind works and you will keep on reading it. I love it. We own you.
Crawling in a marathon
Frustrated over comments and actions of the aging majority in this community, I feel a sense of duty to release some of my frustration in the form of my opinion. Yes, "my opinion". I repeat that because it may only be my opinion, but it is still a point of view from someone other than the bigoted aging majority in this community that is afraid of passing on sooner than later only to see that they and others have done nothing! C'mon people, take a look at the shape that this city is in and ask yourself some questions. What has been done over the last 40 years to prosper our wonderful community? Where could this city be today compared many other other municipalities that have progressed? Why are so many citizens in this community so resistant to change? I think it is a sad realization by many that they now look back over their lifetime and realize what could have been, and now want to blame their lack of foresight and good judgement on a current elected administration for all there own shortcomings and failures!
I don't want to point fingers and make accusations, but I would like to hear comments from some open minded citizens capable of actually engaging in discussion about the real hidden issues in this community that are not politically correct to talk about. If at this point you are confused about what I mean, then its to late for you anyway!
I am not afraid to speak the truth, as I see it, about anything. We all know the old cliche " The truth hurts", and unfortunately in this community the truth is a real tough nut to swallow!
Danny,
If you have such information, it is your duty to report it. Go for it. Quit the same old bullshit we hear EVERY election from you TuWongians. Not a resident, doesn't live in the City, hasn't paid their taxes..... same old worn out drum beat.
I'll tell you why you don't call, because you're afraid to. The only possible answer you will get is "Oh its that dumbshit from Overland again" or "We'll look into it". If you report it, then you can't threaten to report it any more. So do it. If she doesn't qualify for office, then we should get her out. So quit talking about it, nut up and do something.
Danny is so smart, he caught me.
You would have thought the government would have caught it when they spent $25,000 on a background investigation, when they gave me a clearance 2 levels above top secret, when they made me a missile technician and let me work on nuclear weapons on a Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine. Or maybe McDonnell Douglas would have caught it when they tagged me for special projects and did the same background check, but no, Danny, you solved the crime. In these troubling economic times, I would think you would be more interested in getting your resume in order in case there are changes where you’re employed! By all means Danny, I feel your should report your findings to everyone. You have shown you do not care about your neighbors, stand up for our city Danny, don't let another crime go unreported. Or maybe just face the facts:
1. Your side is wrong, broke the law and the citizens are going to correct the problem.
2. You are a rat, among many rats, on a sinking ship of fools. You all should have bailed out month’s age.
I would like you to try something.
Try thinking for yourself. I know it's a scary thought, but give it a try. Come up with your own questions, check in to the facts yourself and reach your own conclusions.
Under80,
You state you want conversation on the "real hidden issue." Well, please "un-hide" them and we will gladly discuss them.
I am for progress. Unfortunately, that has many definitions in this city.
