"Special" meeting tonight

I would post the link to the agenda, but the city did not post it on the website. (Wasn't part of the Sunshine Law case against Purzner that the city was ordered to post agendas of all city council meetings on the website?)

Doesn't seem like much is planned, but that is usually when the "sneak in" stuff. So, be there or be watching it on cable on Thursday.

From what I understand the meeting is going to be pretty short & sweet. Hopefully this time they ordered enough food for everyone that will be in the chow line.

Did hear a rumor that they are hoping to move the meetings back to city hall. That may not happen for a couple of months from what I understand.

Do not know why or have not heard why the adgenda was not posted.

I also heard that Schneider spoke to a subcommittee of the OBA. In that meeting he said he thought meetings would be moved back to City Hall by November.

I, for one, find the Community Center more acessible, more bathroom facilities, and less of a fire hazzard.

However, I am sure there were stipulations in the Sunshine Law case that stated if/when/how the meetings could be moved back to City Hall. I am not sure if it is even up to the council or if they would need to petition the court.

As far as the seating arrangements, I find them more fun. It is great to see Keller and Jones squirm when wondering how they should vote on an issue (without the guidance of Owensby and Schneider, respectively).

The Board ought to incorporate some form of Musical Chairs. After each vote they remove a chair and everyone starts marching until music is off. With Jones being forced to think for himself, he should be eliminated from the competition early.

Sweaty,

Don't deny your late-night cruising with Kenny O. Those lame excuses may work for your husband, but we know the truth. The only question is whether Kenny makes you give him gas money for the.....ride.

Man about town and danny boy are the same jag off. Danny lets Cortney-dog use his man about town user name and spy hound too. Picture that 3 some. Maybe Owensby's wig uses that name too.

Gravey,

I had heard it was Purzner he was caught with at the park one night I believe around 11:00 PM or so. Please don't tell me Wiggy is playing the field. Oh, what a field to be playing

Also heard the next couple of months of meetings could get interesting. Do not know exactly what that means they would not elborate on the subject.

I don't think he will try to push the Dills nomination at this meeting. Oringinally no public comments were scheduled, know they are.

I think they'll sweaty to count asses in the hall so that it will go below the 160 capacity.

I look for the Septeber meeting to be something, Schneider is going to create a more powerfull mayor call the TUPPAMAYOR. He will use his new powers to ramrod his ideas down the throats of the common man.

He will then get the Community Center to host the largest Tupperware Party in the State on the City's dime.

I believe the Council has the right to determine seating, remember when the St. Charles Mayor was moved from the front table to a small table alonside the main Council Table.

Herman had to go to court and get permission from the Judge to move the Special meeting into the Council Chambers. This leads me to believe the Judge has the final say so.

The Tuppamayor in keeping with the Tupperware theme is going to have the Council Meeting held at each Council members house. The Councilman will be the host.

ALL HAIL TUPPAMAYOR

The special meeting is in the council chambers?
Why, this seems silly considering the "reception" will be at the community center?

Of course its silly, but look at who is running the show. The Good Ole Boys, they believe in tradition and can't resist a chance to pat themselves on the back on a job well done.

Word of advise, watch the food at the Center if a certain passenger shows up, she'll want a large to go serving.

Why is Tim Jones such a pussy?

Just got my Localite for September and Jonesy put an ad pleading for support for Tupper-Mayor!

Does Jonesy think councilmen can't think for themselves?

Who instructed Jonesy to put this ad in? Dodo?

At this rate, Jonesy is making Keller look like a genius.

Support Schneider on what, what has he actually proposed. Jonesy get off daddy's lap you're making a fool of yourself.

Lonesy,if I throw a stick will you go away? When you finish sniffing The Tupper Mayor behind go find a corner and lie down.

Good boy, rub beneath ears.

Tim Jones is quickly establishing himself as a top-rate shill.

Tim I will support your Mayor when he returns the $5,000 in-kind campaign contribution given by the Zoning and Planning Committee Chair as it exceeds the mandatory limit established by the Missouri Supreme Court by roughly $4,650.00.

Tim, I will support the Mayor if/when he does something reasonable. I am not privy to whatever pork/currency you are being paid.

Tim, I will support your Mayor when you stop trying to sneak-up on the community when you want to change policy (deliver the pork).

Tim, I will support your Mayor when he begins building an administration on merit as opposed to patronage. Which is really funny considering he ran on his "business administration" credentials. The only business to feature patronage as a personnel policy was the failed tupperware franchise.

Tim, True, Owensby will retire some day and someone will have to become the Council's Village Idiot, but you need not behave as your mentor until then.

Speaking of over contributions, The Post's Jo Mannies is reporting on the contribution limit story. Basically the Supreme Court has ruled that it is up to the Mo Ethic Commission to decide.

In an amicus brief, MoEthics stated they believed all overcontribution limits should be returned.

Mikey, get your checkbook ready (pending the uproar and follow-up suits from greedy politicians such as yourself).
