We all understand that the Sweaty/Note lack the necessary faculties of self-reflection to be aware of their behavior. As a result, I thought it may be usefull for us all to understand a little more about what would motivate a personal to continuously spread obvious lies, half-truths and inuendo while maintaining a self-righteous demeanor.
We end up with the irony that the people who think they are so very good end up doing so very much evil, and , more remarkabley, they are probably the last people in the world who will realize the connection between the two.
The other dominate characteristic is that authoritarians do not lie, cheat and steal out of a sense of duty, but actually enjoy the idea of "stirring-the-bucket" and inflicting pain on those they have rationalized as their enemies.
Authoritarian traits have been identified through cross-sectional and longitudinal studies over the course of the past forty years. An irony is that the Authoritarian believes the following traits to be positives aspects of their personalities:
*They travel in tight circles of like-minded people.
*Their thinking is more likely based on what authorities have told them rather than on their own critical judgment, which results in their beliefs being filled with inconsistencies.
*They harbor numerous double standards and hypocrisies.
*They are hostile toward so many minorities they seem to be equal opportunity bigots, yet they generally unaware of their prejudice.
*They see the world as a dangerous place, with society teetering on the brink of self-destruction from evil and violence, and when their fear conflates with their self-righteousness, they appoint themselves guardians of public morality, or God’s Designated Hitters.
*They think of themselves as far more moral and upstanding than others-a self-deception aided by their religiosity (many are “born again”) and their ability to “evaporate guilt” (such as by going to confession).
In closing, what follows is a summary of types of traits typically found in authoritarians, based on extensive testing. Although these collations of characteristics of authoritarians are not attractive portraits, they are nonetheless traits that authoritarians themselves acknowledge.

Oh, I forgot to include the following.
Visiting the VA Hospital does not absolve you from being a jerk to everyone else around you.
Overt acts of kindness are used to wash the authoritarian's "dirty hands". They fortify their false sense of entitlement and self-righteousness through their self-serving acts.
Thus the need of the authoritarian to always be "crowing" about their acts in public. For the authoritarian, trees falling in the woods do not produce sound without someone to witness.
Oh, I would have to nominate The Goat just because she recently broke our of her pen and wondered over to OVCC to harass us here.
And, she fits so many of the traits.
But isn't Sweetipickles a goat herder? And Ann Purzner is the 3 Ring Cirus, Ringmaster (by proxy).
Then we have the wanna be Law Boy, Dannyinfectiouswaste.

Sweet Pickles gets my vote she is exactly what the ORT is looking for or could want. Stays in the back ground, slips in where & when she can, backs off when need be. Does what she thinks she should. Then strikes like a snake. And claims nothing.

If some of the posters on the members site are so worried about the mayor being followed, tell them to tell her to quit going out.
It does not seem fair for some 16,000 people to stay in so she can leave the house.
She can get meals on wheels, I think you can now get groceries delivered, order clothes on-line or catalog. Prescriptions for humans & animals by mail. Pizzas delivered and I'm sure she can find someone to come to her home to do her hair, etc.
Better yet she can step-down as mayor & then quite of few problems will be solved.
Sounds like the mayor pulled a boner with channel 2 news.
The news crew showed up yesterday and asked where the 140 people were waiting to get into the cooling center. Employees were confused and said there are no people waiting.
They new crew told them that the mayor called channel 2, said that there is a cooling center at the Com. Ctr. and that 140 people were waiting. Again, they said they are no people here, there were some here the week the storm hit, guy asked how many, was told about 24 or so was it. He said not hundreds, no, well what kind of hot food was she cooking and serving, sandwiches & prison TV trays.
Needless to say they were not happy about wasting their time when there was no story.
I generally agree that the focus should always be on Dick Kmode, Coach Blowensme and of course the Great Con.
But, I would also add that consideration be made for the ORT Cloud PR machine. We must also resist the lies and bad faith continuously demonstrated by the Great Con's proxies. Especially given that Coach Blowensme, Dick Kmode and the Great Con have no respect for the majority opposition.
Authoritarian regimes have never been install through consent of the majority of its citizenry. Without exception, the authoritarian must hide and cheat their way to power. To reveal their true preferences would be electoral suicide. Their is no redemption for people without conscience.
Take the food drive. Always great to contribute to food banks. No doubt. But, why the public display? Why the need to so publicly display your good acts? According to the personality type, public displays of good faith allow the person to shead the guilty conscience that developed from their private bad faith.
Sending the news team to cover the 140 so called people using cooling center is another example. The Great Con is incapable of simply doing her job. Much like her credentials, The Great Con compulsively exaggerates her contributions as a way to internally deny what a horrible wreck of a politicians she is.
Let us watch all the monkey's dance as the hurty gerty plays and call each and everyone of them, elected or not, on the dualism that is their core beliefs.
Call me naive, but I honestly believed that if I tried to communicate with the "regulars" on the OverlandChat site, if I avoided attacks and simply challenged their baseless claims and outright lies, that I might make some sort of difference. Many contacted me telling me I was wasting my time, that the effort was pointless, that the motivations of many there were that of political propaganda. Well, I was wrong, you all were right. I wonder how people who spin EVERYTHING, make things up about people, and purposefully try to hurt people and their families look at themselves in the mirror everyday. My guess is, these people do not own mirrors, or if they do, they are fun house mirrors that show them what they think of themselves and not what they really are. Sometimes you have to accept that you were wrong and use your time more wisely somewhere else. This is one of those times. If nothing else, it frees up a bit of much needed time for other projects.

I have to admire the try. But, this is a group that doesn't want to deal with logic or reason. It kinds of falls under the saying of "You can't wrestle with a pig. You just get all muddy and the pig likes it."
Soon they will alienate or ban all of their opposition. They will be left to their glad handing of each other. I just hope that Pickles and The Goat have the health insurance to treat their eventual sprained arms (a repetitive stress injury from patting theirselves on the back).
Any odds on how that "strained arm" comment will be construed as some sort of threat by Pickles? That I was personally threatening to cause her bodily harm?

You are right on with the "credit" remark. Didn't you once say their theory was that "anything worth doing is only worth doing if one gets high praise for the act"?
It would be much easier to just post something that stated that local food pantries are in need of donations, along with providing locations, contact information and a possible list of most needed items. But, then there is no glory in doing it that way.
After being thrown out of UMB (as in actually being lifted from ground and thrown out of venue) for the second time, I decided never to return regardless of performer.
(I am not talking about the G&R show or the time tangled mano-a-mano with Ozzie Osbourne.)
That place does everything you could think of to inconvenience the patrons. A hassle at every turn. They give a bad name to the outdoor summer concert.
Anyone remember how cool the concerts at the Muni were before whoever built that atrocity in the flood plane stopped booking shows at Muni?
UMB doesn't have any problems that a bulldozer couldn't solve.
Its not just the lack of glory in humility, you may also notice how they use these efforts to shield their conscience for supporting Ann Purzner's Sherman-esque march on our local institutions.

Oh yes--the love to combine a judgemental attitude along with their self-congratulatory mind-set. Not only will you get a "I didn't see you there." There you have it. Goat using the opportunity to help someone as a proxy for feeling self-righteous and authoritarian. She lacks any ability of self-reflection. On the 46000. I imagine Music is "Choosing" to misrepresent what that number means at this point.
I say this because I explained how it worked earlier on the OC site, as I use the same "sitemeter" service on my sites.
It does not count individual users, it counts individual visits (though it can be set to count page views I believe).
Another interesting note, though I do not know it this was done, the owner of the site CAN choose to start that count at an number other then zero. So when that counter was added, the first visiter could have been counted as number 42563 for all we know.
Not that it matters, Web content is about quality, not quantity (he says after writing yet another waaaay long comment LOL).
