It lived too long and became ineffective. One might say riddled with dementia, although some of that dementia was intentional (right, New Girl?).

Funeral Services to be held at ORTman funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Citizens of Overland for Good Government are requested.

Alas, it is probably too soon to predict the death of OverlandChat.com (but one can hope, can't they?). Look for Spydog's pledge cards in your mail this week.

Maybe they will pass along a collection plate at the next City Council Meeting.

Damn, I jinxed it!

Of course, one definition of ineffective would be an administrator knowing his site is going to go down and not informing the users.

It is obvious that the mayor is a big fan of the gaming tables after she wouldn't leave her one arm bandit the night of the storm.
Why do I feel she will be along for the ride? If so, wouldn't that be a nightmare trip for those seniors!

The comunity center organizes those trips for two reasons of which I know. First there seems the city makes a profit off of the tourists, and second, it gives the tourists a chance to commingle and strengthen their social bonds. The seniors appear to be the largest market for those trips, and also constitute the largest groups of consistent voters.
