The Mayor tries to Clarify

This morning, there is an update on the Mayor's webiste. It appears she is trying to undo some of the negative news coverage she has been receiving this week.

Some fun highlights include:

“We have great respect for the judge [Sherry] and respectfully abide her wishes in this matter.”
If this is the case, why did you tell news reporters that the judge was wrong in her ruling and made incorrect statements in her decision?

"You may not know as it has not been reported, but these legal actions as filed against the City of Overland have broad legal ramifications for each and every community in the State of Missouri
as well as the very application of the Sunshine Laws which are so important to good government."

Well, we couldn't agree with this statement more. The six citizens who have had to sue the city on these matters are sending a strong message to other cities not to try the same hijinx that The Queen is trying to pull. However, I am not sure that these are the ramifications that The Queen had in mind. I am waiting on the edge of my seat for further clarification.

If she is truly trying to improve her image and receive more positive press (other than that of faux-mayor Owensby), I might suggest she try the tactic of doing the right thing instead of dragging the city into court a few times a month.
