The ORT is feeling the water around their ankles as the ship continues to sink. And they are pulling out their usual bag of tricks and lies.
1) Wanda Knode's signs. Fear mongering at it's best. Scare people into retaining a mayor that is not working for the city by telling them that a recall vote is a vote for tax increases. But alas it is true. If we get rid of the current mayor then new businesses and new prosperity will come to overland and our property value will increase and yes we will have higher personal property taxes. So not exactly a lie but definitely not the truth.
2) Finger pointing. I logged on to the other website and surprise surprise, the ORT is bringing up the criminal record of family members of COGG supported council persons. Come now spydog, don't you know the saying about glass houses? Or do I need to re-post your illustrious background? Do we need to re-post Eric Tolen's credentials? Do we need to remind everyone of Mark Brown and Mayor Purzner's connections to a convicted child pornographer? Do we need to do a little digging into the criminal background of current council candidates that are supported by the ORT?
3) Disjointed ramblings filled with insults, Piss Pot Pete who is one of spydogs alter-egos is back and writing. All I can really say is please keep it up. When people go to the other website and see the kind of hate filled bile that issues forth from the mouths of ORT supporters it just makes them dislike the ORT even more. Every time Piss Pot Pete makes a fat joke or thinly veiled homophobic reference he shows the caliber of people that make up the ORT.
4) Illegal campaigning. Knode has placed signs in the median of Midland. This is a county road. It does fall under county ordinance. these signs are illegal. Will Piss Pot Pete/ Spydog/ JF be towing his illegal "paid for by Piss Pot Pete" sign again? campaign signs must include the name of the person or organization that paid for them and the treasurer. It is illegal to use pseudonyms on political signs.
5) Intimidation. Ken Owensby is back on the campaign trail and out threatening the citizens of our fair burb. It got so bad that some of my friends had to step in and separate him from a citizen who was refusing Owensby the right to put a retain Purzner sign in his yard. I know of at least two of my neighbors who have told Owensby that if he comes on their property again they will have him arrested for trespass.
But on the positive side there is only 7 days til April 3rd and election day. As you drive through Overland you will see a LOT of signs supporting COGG and its mission to recall mayor purzner. But as the saying goes, signs don't vote. We may have the momentum but if we don't get to the polling place we may be in for a bad surprise on the 4th. So make sure and get out and vote.

I have a question. Is this Lauren person a man or a woman? I know the name Lauren could be a man or a woman's name. It gets up to try and speak at meetings, I say try, because it makes no sense what so ever and can barely speak the English language properly. Very slurred speech and talks in circles, poor thing. I am confused because it appears to have breasts but also an Adam’s apple and no hips…..very confusing. It’s like a Victor/Victoria thing going on. So do you address it as a Mr. or Ms.? The only thing I do know is it is an ORT supporter.

Another BIG lie Purnzer told last night was, she had to adjourn the meeting March 12th because the crowd was out of control. That is a BIG FAT lie. She improperly adjourned the meeting because she didn't want to recognize a motion on the floor. Then she claimed to only hear the yes votes to adjourn. Seriously, I have never met anybody in my whole life that lies as much as Purzner does. Does this silly creature forget the March 12th meeting was taped, and one can clearly see and hear why she and her goons walked out? It had absolutely nothing to do with the crowd. What a blatant liar, Purzner is.
I truly and honestly believe there is something mentally wrong with Purzner, she is unfit to hold office. You would think Purzner’s family and friends would care enough about her and have her seek medical attention.

It’s a cutting remark either way you put it. But I am infamous for cutting remarks; so really, I don’t care if you make one. I was just pointing out that you care about cutting remarks; hence I thought you meant what you said. I was not insinuating you were racist at all, just that type of remark “Ass Monkey” or “Monkey Ass” is considered racist. At one time I too was ignorant to that fact of calling somebody a monkey was a racial slur. I have always said things like “monkey business” and “don’t monkey around”, or the lyrics in a song (I forget the name of it) when they say “I want to see your monkey ass drop”. It is a racial slur against Black people. I didn’t know that until a few years ago. I guess you and I are behind the times, so to speak.

I really thought it was neat and almost couldn't believe what i was hearing when Mike O'Connell from channel 4 said that the council majority wouldn't even let the meeting begin. He said the meeting never even officially started.

Fireworks continue in Overland, one week until Purzner recall election

(KMOV) - Overland mayor Ann Purzner may have presided over her last city council meeting. But Monday night's meeting never even officially began.
The council majority and Purzner's supporters clashed as they have since Purzner's term began 11 months ago.
Purzner broke up the meeting after refusing to allow a vote on whether to settle a lawsuit with three Overland police officers who are suing the city.
Voters go to the polls a week from Monday to decide Purzner’s fate.
Purzner needs 50% plus one vote to remain in office. Purzner hopes to retain her seat despite next week's recall election.
Turnout is expected to be relatively heavy.

When last I spoke to the Mo. Ethics Commission, they suggesred that we contact them if Purzner or any of the Overland Revenge Team repeats the practice of eleminating the Paid for ----- Identification on any signs, the rolling billboard etc. Whoever sees it first, please call the Ethics Commission ASAP! Our tolerance for all their unlawful acts must be at an end.
Hopefully, there will only be Owensby and his tantrums and sneaking around to contend with. I speak from experience when I tell you that when he is confronted verbally, even by an elderly much smaller person, he puts his bewigged head down and runs. He sometimes is armed and has an explosive temper so be cautious. They say "You don't want to tease a cornered dog"

This issue was brought up at poll worker training. It was suggested that you get copies of all material and photos of any "rolling material" to submit to the Mo Ethics Commission.
Purzner was first heard calling Markie, Markie suggested she call the state police. From what I understand she did, they in turn called the chief & asked if he need them. As fas as I could see they were not needed.
The mayor was also told to quit hitting May on the shoulder while she was pulling the mic out of his hands.
Sorry but when a gentile southern woman such as her tells the council she'd like to put her shove her foot up there ??? then starts laughing, this woman does not belong in office.

Hi yall. I got the boat fired up and I'm heading in to pick up the political has beens. Just 7 more days. I haven't seen this kind of desperation since Dewey and I pled guilt to that little coke charge. I've got all the old baggage on board. Billy Hamilton, Overland Cab Jack, the Masons, TuWong, Karam Abdul Jabaar, Margaret Kelly, Kathy Burkett...... the list goes on. I read a hard copy of it last night. It's great, accurate and has a great characature(-5 for spelling)of her.

A check of the Missouri Secretary of State's Records and the Missouri Ethics Commission's Records shows that there is no Corporation, Committee or other legal entity registered with the Overland Recovery Team name.
However, there is a political Ad in the April Localite that includes a picture of Councilman Knode, Councilman Sellers, Mayor Purzner and Councilman Owensby that is marked "Paid for by the Overland Recovery Team" (but with Councilman Owensby's phone number and Mayor Purzner's web site address).
This is a probable violation of election law and one that I suspect will likely be forwarded to the Missouri Ethics Commission and the St. Louis Board of Elections by many, many Overland Residents.
We'll have to wait and see if anything comes from it this time.
