Let the sun shine in... 150 and counting

Mayor Purzner ( I love the fact that spellcheck replaces her name with prisoner) has sent a memo stating that in order to prevent damage to the gym floor the Overland city council meeting will be held in the council chambers. The chambers has a capacity of 160 meaning that 440 people (110 times her margin of victory) who were at the last meeting would be denied admission.
This is a violation of the Missouri Sunshine Law. (see below) which states that the meetings shall be held at a place big enough to accommodate the expected crowd.

I urge everyone to e-mail the MO attorney general
ag@ago.mo.gov
attached is a sample e-mail.

Dear Attorney General Nixon
It has come to my attention that the mayor of Overland has stated that the Overland city council meeting of 5-22-06 shall be held in the city council chambers. At the last posted city council meeting over 600 people were present. The city council chambers has a maximum occupancy of 160 people.
Mayor Mary Ann Purzner has previously been warned about violations of the Sunshine law by your office due to the actions of herself and three other Overland city council members.
Mayor Mary Ann Purzner is currently involved in a court case where it is stated that she overstepped her authority as mayor in attempting to remove appointed officials without the consent of council and without a replacement having been appointed and approved by the council.
Please ensure that my rights are not denied me as a citizen of the state of Missouri. Please take all appropriate actions to ensure that I am able to attend the city council meeting this coming Monday. I look forward to a response
Sincerely,

RSMo CHAPTER 610:
Governmental bodies and records
610.020. Notice of meetings, when required — accessibility of meetings — minutes of meetings to be kept, content — voting records to be included.
2. Each meeting shall be held at a place reasonably accessible to the public and of sufficient size to accommodate the anticipated attendance by members of the public, and at a time reasonably convenient to the public, unless for good cause such a place or time is impossible or impractical.

The following is a copy of a correspondence I had with nationally known election monitor Brad Friedman. Who knows where it goes but we need to get an accurate vote count and I don’t know how one does that by excluding forty-nine ballots.

Here is his web-site address: www.bradblog.com. I did not address my correspondence with brad through my Gravy Crane persona but rather my true identity. Therefore I have redacted my name from the message.

The irony is that I learned of his group from Edward Crane Durham’s radio show. Brad made an appearance that exposed Edward for the empty suit that he is. Here is a link to that particular interview between Brad and Edward for those interested:

Thanks, XXXXXX.

I have tried to get this to some MO folks, to see if they can mobilize some help.

Please consider filing your own FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request to look at those ballots yourself, btw! I'll be happy to help you publicize any recount that you are able to do (along with the candidates in question, or any other folks on the ground who might be able to help).

Isn't it though. I never said when my hair appointment was Tues. night or Fri. See how mixed up you people get things when you are scrambling?????
I said in my last post that I WILL NOT carry this any further, and with good reason.

Well I responded by posting her original post under "FOLLOWING ME"

I just read the other site owned by John Doe.
He states my full name and informs everyone that I went to a ladies house in St. Charles and got my hair done.
I left my home and went straight there, last Tuesday. This could only mean one thing he is following me and just screwed up and posted it on his site. I have printed it and will be turning it over to the police department.
This is stalking and I will not put up with it. This is the same sick man that showed up at Ann's door and portrayed himself as a free lance writer with the post. Beware of him.

Just to let you all know. Spydog shut my access down to the overlandchat site....sigh.....
I guess he didn't like the fact that I squared Sweetpickles and caught her in a bold face lie. Funny how that happens.
Unless his site is having problems, then I apologize.

Good, don't go back. "Don't feed the animals! It only gets them excited." They don't seem to appreciate that this fight is out of their hands. Forget about SweatyPickel. She will fade under her own ineptitude.

We need to devote our efforts to unlocking the "Overland 49" who are having their constitutionally protected right to vote quashed by a scan-tron machine.

Where in Voting Rights Act does it say your right to participate in elections shall be governed by the Scan-o-matic?

We shall overcome,....someday.

I am able to respond to comments only. I have tried to post a new message (thread) and my access was denied. Perhaps the site is having difficulties. I like to give the benifit of doubt.
I'm still laughing about the "feeding the animals". They must be rabid.

Mommy, I just joined your site. What heading was the post about me? The site is kind of confusing.

The Scoop OMG....I can't stop laughing about the "Owenswig". He does sport a pretty sad rug. He should just go natch-row.

I spotted Mayor Purzner in the Sratus-Sphere making turn at the Curve Inn last evening. She was accompanied by some other bird. They looked lost. I don't know if it was Sweaty Pickle or not.

She may have been inspecting the progress of Phase II construction on Lackland. She may have been out changing street names to Purzner Ave, Tolen Trail or Sweaty Pickle Lane as driving with passenger constitutes a quorum to the Mayor.

But more than likely she was just driving around with her head in a White Cloud as usual.

Mommy, I only have enough intellectual capital to participate on only one blog. Single topic multiple posting may be a sign of obsessive compulsive disorder, at least that is what my therapist told me. Thanks for aksing anyway.

Update: According to Mr. Kelly who covers Overland for the Journal, the meeting WILL be held at the community center. Of course, we know what happened the last time it was held there. What will be the status of the Overland No-Show Team at this meeting?

P.S. Love the Owenswig moniker. I love those type of names.

OK, its time to start another week of the madness and, unfortunately, I will once again be on the road and unable to join in person.

A few observations......

Actions taken at illegal meetings are, by their very nature, illegal and subject to attack. Holding a meeting in a clearly inadequate facility is tantamount to not holding the meting at all. I feel sorry for any business person who has real business before the City. For instance, say you are a business that needs a zoning change. (Not possible you say, what business would ever need a zoning change) Now say that you have a bank financing the development (Again, Lucky, you're stretching. What Overland business would need to use a bank. Please stick with me, humor me. Now say that you have by pure bad luck chosen to do business in a City that has a "mayor" who paints herself (her face any way) as an Indian warrior, and now say (and now I am really going to go way out there) that Chief Running Scared declares marshall law, fires the police chief, the City attorney, doesn't show up for meetings and, when she does, she issues an edict that the meeting must be held in the janitor's closet.

Well, now the zoning vote (if it take place at all) is suspect and subject to attack. Guess what the business person's lender does? Sorry sir, our shareholders are a little particular and we have decided that if we wanted to invest in a Circus, we would give our money to Mr. Barnum. And here's the catch, the only way to fix the problem is to go back through the same Alice in Wonderland process. Welcome to Purzna-tory, a firey hell.

Thought #2. The last time Purz refused to meet in Muncsh-ma-hal (Community Center) she was afraid that Chief Herron couldn't guaranty her safety...... this time she refuses to meet due to her concern for the gym floor.

Time for me to connect the dots. I have figured out Purz's strategy here. Purz will instruct Branch-Davidian to have everyone remove their shoes before they enter the room. This would be done under the auspices of floor protection. But look further. Now when Purz and Owenswig make their predicatable getaway to avoid a quorum, the mob attempting to chase them will be slipping and sliding in their stockinged feet. Pure genius.

I will be out in Davis, CA and since Crane and Tobler's National Syndication has not really taken off, I will have limited access to current info. I will try to log in from the road. Please keep me posted.

The Hand and his Sweaty Pickle: A match made in heaven.

I must give my compliments to on_inside for the most recent post. Well reasoned. Very thoughtful.

Now on to business.

I was reading a few of the missives over at the Overland Chat and found some of the material written by the Hands in regard to his/her sweaty pickle most entertaining.

"Sweetpickles doesn't owe you a thing. You keep up with BS and I'll personally call the website owner of your blog and have you investigated and shut down."

That sounds like something Bill O'Reilly would say.

So let me get this right.

The Hands is going to call the boys over at Blogger and have John Doe investigated leading to a "shut down".

Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

With over 1.4 million users I gotta believe John Doe's comments about the Sweaty Pickle is really a concern. Especially, considering all of the original source information and the follow-up factual statements. Again, John plays the fact card. They play the delusion card.

Transcript of Calll

The Hands: "Is this the owner of John Doe's blog?"

Blogger: "Uhh, what? Uh...Mam, I don't understand your call."

The Hands: "Yeah, this is the Hands and I am calling about John Doe's posting. He will not stop posting facts about my Sweaty Pickle. You are going to have to investigate. My Sweaty Pickle doesn't owe him anything. And by the way, investigate him personally as well. He is a subversive."

Blogger: "We'll get right on it Hands. John Doe must be stopped, the fate of Overland, Missouri is in the balance!"

What planet do these folks live on?

Next topic.

What has Mark Brown done to me/you /us? That seems to be a reoccuring theme from the Handsy Pickle.

I have never had the pleasure of personally meeting Marky Mark or his Funky Bunch. That is not an issue though. The issue is "good faith".

We, or I, would like to have elected representatives that I can trust to act in "good faith" for the community.

If you need to brush up on the concept of acting in good faith please see the following.

http://www.csudh.edu/dearhabermas/goodfth.htm#oldindx

http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/06642a.htm

The simple truth is that Mr. Brown has never demonstrated good faith to any community. He has consistently, compulsively and congentially sought to place his self-interest above the interests of the greater good. If you believe otherwise, I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon.

Why have I never met Mark Brown?

I have never met Mark Brown because I have never had anything he thought worth extorting nor provided opportunity for self-enrichment and promotion.

I would accuse him of disregarding the Social Contract but that would presuppose an original regard for it.

So, there you have it Sweaty Pickle.

Oh sorry, Sweaty Pickle and you to Hands, I know you will need a little help with Rousseau:

http://www.sparknotes.com/philosophy/socialcontract/summary.html

Finally, lets all keep Lucky Cantrell informed while he is on the road. That guy is a real resource.

Thanks for the support Gravy and greeting from Davis, CA. By the way, I agree with your assessment of the "on inside" piece. It was very well reasoned. I do have a short errata sheet. First, we are not actually a democratic society, we are a republican society. My brother gave me a book for Christmas that explained that to me. Second, I agree that armed revolution is not the answer but it did work for George and the boys. Lastly, I would like to add the Coast Guard to your list of servicemen(often overlooked).

I have some "interesting" photographs that would be worth posting. Any idea how you can do that on this blog?

I was making phone calls to my legal team and the FBI. Don't worry they'll have to work pretty hard to get me. There have been bunches of Iraqis, bunches of German Neo-Nazis and bunches of southern Missouri Meth dealers who have tried and failed to get me so a few Overland Brownies don't worry me. I just enjoy not thinking about Overland politics on the weekends.
