Monday morning update
Well what an interesting weekend this has been. As most of you know by now Ann Poser received a judicial smack down from St Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch. Ann was boo-ed of the stage at the Cinco de Mayo celebration, Linda Downs announced the city council meeting will be moved from the city council chambers to the community center gym , thwarting Posers plans on having her people pack the meeting room and keeping out her opposition. Poser then announced that the meeting was canceled due to safety concerns. This was overrode by the council who reminded her that she has no power to cancel meetings that only a majority of the board can cancel a meeting.
A city council insider has told me that the 4 non-ort members have gotten sick and tired of the ORT either not showing or walking out on the meeting. So the council will possibly be compelling the attendance of the ORT by force of law, if necessary having Overland Police officers collect the council members. Also adding to the circus atmosphere tonight the major news players in town have stated that they will be in attendance with their cameras.
Breaking news...
I have been informed by one of my sources that there will be a big news conference today around 5:15-5:30ish. I have been asked not to leak the info so all I can say is watch the news tonight and check in here tomorrow for further developments and a re-cap of tonight's meeting.

Overland's losing mayoral candidate plans rally
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
05/08/2006
In advance of an Overland City Council meeting called for 7 p.m. tonight, the candidate who lost her race for mayor by four votes last month has called a rally at 5:15 p.m.
Unsuccessful candidate Mary Beth Conlon has been talking about seeking a recount in the election. Her rally is scheduled for the parking lot of the Knights of Columbus Hall in Overland, across the street from the Community Center on Lackland Road.
To quote June Cleaver, "aren't you being a little hard on the Beav."
We are here to share our thoughts and ideas about what to do from here.
Typographical error is not good indicator of someone's credibility.
For example, let us take a look at the second sentence from Jefferson Doe's comment:
"Where were all of these people on election day."
The example is a sentence that forms a question and should be punctuated with question mark at the end rather than a period.
You don't lend credibility to yourself when you use improper punctuation. Think before you puncuate.
Everyone makes errors that have nothing to do with their credibility because we are simply sharing our thoughts; not writing term papers.
I suspect that every post I have made has a typographical error. I also suspect the meaning and intent were not obfuscated by the presence of the error. There is no need to point to each other's error and then take the anonymous shot.
Power to the People....
Gravy.
you know the great thing about this being MY blog? I can delete people I don't like. It isn't a democracy, it is a Ann Purzner style dictatorship. I silence those I don't want to hear from.
Also Jeferson Doe when you are making commetns on people getting facts straight it helps to have your own facts straight. 1111+1115+964= 3190 not 2800. So before you snipe about my errors (which I corrected by the way) make sure you don't have any errors.
I didn't know that someone on this board was making the unsubstantiated charge that Ann was also an Ayatolla.
I didn't even know she was muslim. Could someone get the facts-straight for me because I thought referring to Ann as an Ayatolla was a joke.
Does anyone have a photo of Ann acting in the role of Ayatolla? I guess it makes sense because Sharia law forbids women from serving as an Ayatolla much like the Board of Nursing forbids non-nurses from representing themselves as nurses. Given Ann has no respect for Missouri law, I can see why should would of course be an Ayatolla.
She is the mayor.
Jefferson, do you read anyone hating on each other around here? I don't but that could also be due to John Doe's great editing.
So lighten-up a little bit and try to have some fun in the face of a difficult situation. Nobody around says they are perfect which was sort of the point of my previous post.
Assalamualaikum All,
Gravy
everyone...
sorry about the comments being turned off, somehow my settings got switched back to waht I saved them as last night when I logged off. It's switched back and everyone including Jefferson is free to post.
McClellan's column was great.
Also, why can't we post to the newer blog entries? Did you change something and forget to change it back?
One more thing, did anyone see Dill and two-other Purzerites on the cover of yesterday's (Tues) Metro section. Note: the signs said "Support YOUR Mayor" not "our" mayor. Damn, does anyone in the city support her?
BTW, my mom is a ward 2 resident and would like to start Seller recall proceedings now. Is that underway or should she take the initiative.
