you're out of order...

OK sorry I have been very busy getting stuff in line so I have not been able to make the posts I have wanted to.

I told you that I would hand over the passwords to the site before I left, If you want a password drop me an e-mail at labelpau@yahoo.com. Don't try and make anything of the yahoo name it's a random combination that was generated for me years back when I was in college as a username.

what can I say if things keep going like they are we won't need to recall Ann Prisoner. She has how many criminal investigations against her already? Once she is in custody we could have teh president pro tem move for impeachment and send her on her way.

Too bad the damge is already done...

John Doe,
You know we don't want you to go. I hope you don't think we, like the certain members of the council, were "attempting a coup"

Ding ding ding ding. Rack Em!

We have a winner for post of the week award.

Bookworm and the Ode to Gravy.

I'm humbled yet inspired. What a closing. I don't think I have ever heard an ode so sweet.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I really hate to see you go. You site was the beginning that lead me to ask questions and learn what was Going on in Overland.

Ultimately, you are responsible for my decision to start www.overlandspeaksout.com

Astute analysis Norman, not many residents get the luxury of your unique "perspective" on the City.

Inquiring minds do want to know.

Sweaty,

We get it.

You want to work at City Hall.

You need not post any more of your rhetorical questions in regard to the Treasurer and her compensation, work product, work effort, responsibilities, efficacy or whether the position should exist at all. You don't like the lady. Clear as water, say no more, please.

We get it.

You want to work at City Hall.

But your passive-aggressive questions are getting so tedious. "I wonder if......, Isn't it interesting that...It is my understand that..."

Say what you mean woman. Try mustering up the ovaries to be genuine every once in a while.

You aren't wondering anything. Your thinly veiled questions are not interesting. Your understanding? ..... We all know your understanding is actually what Anne told you during your daily chin-wag.

We get it.

You want to work at City Hall.

I am sure to some degree you feel entitled. You paid your dues and don't want anyone to forget it. But your analysis of City personal is so polluted by your desire to be on the Overland Dole that it lacks credibility.

We get it.

You want to work at City Hall.

Stop pretending your on some "fact-finding" mission. They are standing in your way of easy street, your jealous and want them fired.

We get it.

You want to work at City Hall.
________

One time-tested way for you to get around the current employees and into the cookie jar is to create a new position that takes responsibilities away from the object of your professional desire.

Have you thought of some sort of strategy along those lines? It makes a great deal of sense Sweaty.

I try to think "out of the box" but work with me here. Rather than sell Wild Acres, you could build one of those dirt race tracks on the property with a mondo concession stand waiting for an experienced manager who has fought the Cotton Candy wars for years.

Run that up the flag pole during your next chin-wag with Mayor Con.

In the post-dispatch this morning there is an anticle on pg. A45, OPINION - OUR VIEW

Recall efforts reflect the power of cash.

Regarding St. Charles & Mark Brown, Overland is also mentioned.

In Overland, a recall effort is brewing against controversial Mayor Ann Purzner, who took office in Apri. & immediately tried to fire the police chief, who refused to leave.

Nothing else is said about anything else as to why residents would like her recalled

Musicnote you say you are for the city of Overland. So would you explain your post on 7/16 at 8:25 in reply to "The interesting tactics her" your 1st sentence reads

"My support is for the city of Overland, and the residents that voted Ann in."

Does this mean you do not support the other 15,000 residents that make up the city?

Does it mean you do not support the residents that did not vote for her or the ones that didn't vote at all?

Thanks for the link, Norm. I know Sylvester from work. To say the least, I am not impressed. This just adds to those thoughts.

The learned women I hang with do not feel being identified or addressed by woman as being derogatory or threatening. Maybe it is my use of active voice in sentence structure that is threatening to you.

But let me say....

I can only hit what is being pitched.

If you would point out a male poster that disingenuously weighs in on everything with a healthy supply of thinly veiled Ortian support, I will demand satisfaction from him as well. Of that I am sure.

Take the Overland Sailor. He is out there interested in many of the same issues as you. Is a male as far as I can tell. Like you he posts often. Unlike you, he is being genuine. He is not out grinding away on some ten, fifteen or twenty year old grudge while pretending to be just another concerned citizen interested in productivity.

I have a question for you Note.

You obviously have a deep knowledge of City personel spanning well back into the 19-whatevers.

Can you name one purely merit based hiring in the history of Overland?
Seriously. One. One person that was a stranger to the City and won employment purely on the force of their education, experience and training,. Just one. Take your time.

Everyone in the place received employment through a variable combination of experience and patronage. So stop using the patronage crutch to judge whether a person is qualified.

You don't like anyone not appointed by Anne, which is about everyone in the place. We get it.

Just say so,....woman.

Given you can't come up with an example of a merit based hiring, wouldn't you argue that in order to return integrity to the City's administration, future hirings will be handled through blind merit based practices common in gov't since the Pendleton Act?

You don't have to be a McKinley supporter to make that argument. It makes sense today as then.

Is one of our councilman on vacation?

The Special Meeting Agenda and Location says to me that Mayor Con is pulling some sort of underhanded move in order to fill empty Ward 3 seat with another shill.

Or what she and her Ortian friends think of as policy. She has demonstrated that she cannot be trusted.

I hope Mr. McCulloch is paying attention.

Musicnote, I asked you a SIMPLE question as to a STATEMENT YOU MADE. I only asked because I have noticed on your post you seem to flip-flop quite a bit. Your answer is not surprising, but thank you for responding.

Your feelings appear to be the same as the mayor, Owensby & Knode.
They're all working hard for the citizens' of Overland, ESPECIALLY for the ones that voted them in.

You also like to say "she won". Great she won, but what makes you think that NO MATTER which of the 3 would have won, that the reactions of the citizens' would not be the same if they were pulling what she is.

You do not like your rights violated, well neither do I. Why should your rights be anymore important then mine just because you voted for her & I didn't.

Your forgetting, for every action there is an opposite & equal reaction. People are only reacting to what they are getting. What part of that DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND.

Musicnote, sorry I have another question, just trying to understand you. You posted on 7/16 "I would not make a good lawyer, I could not represent something or somebody that goes against my beliefs."

Just what are your beliefs?

Blogger suzyjax said...

What are her beliefs? Let's see, it's Monday Morning, so....

John Lennon says:

Woman I can hardly express
My mixed emotions at my thoughtlessness
After all I'm forever in your debt
And woman I will try to express
My inner feelings and thankfulness
For showing me the meaning of success

Ooh, well, well
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Ooh, well, well
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo

Woman I know you understand
The little child inside of the man
Please remember my life is in your hands
And woman hold me close to your heart
However distant don't keep us apart
After all it is written in the stars

Helen Reddy says:

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

Chaka Khan says:

Im every woman, its all in me
Anything you want done, baby
Ill do it naturally
Im every woman, its all in me
I can read your thoughts right now
Every one from a to z

One of my favorite quotes:

Well behaved women seldom make history. --Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

"I have no use for people who disrespect another's point of view."

Puzzling.

Are you aware of your mayor's and Ortian allies' behavior during council meetings?

I am not a judge of sincerity but I do posses the ability to see that when a person continuously contradicts themselves they are stupid or somewhere along the line insincere.

You should be proud that I think you insincere.

Suzyjax, thank you for your response to Musicnotes beliefs. I thought I was correct in asking the person that actually said them, but since she has not responded she has again not surprised me with her answer or lack there of.

Apparently she does not know what her beliefs are, which makes total sense if you read her post nor can she verbally express them intelligently. Flip-flop, flip-flop.
