Budget Meeting for Full Council
Did anyone attend the budget meeting last night at the community center? We would love if you would post a report to the OVCC blog giving us insight on what happened.
I had full intention of attending but with the rain and all, just couldn't get out. Didn't want to melt you know (as we witches are wont to do around liquids)! Actually, the rain caused such traffic delays that I didn't get back to Overland until after 7 PM, and the meeting was well under way at that point.

I noticed Purzner RN has not updated her website about the Budget Meeting last night. Perhaps some good came of it, hence Queen RN didn't post anything about the meeting.
Looks like the ORT dropped more fecal matter in UNINCORPORATEDMAN'S mailbox. From the sounds of it, he received a letter of warning not to sign the recall.
We should get a HAZMAT crew into Overland to clean up after Ann and her 3 yes men, or this town is going to stink to high heaven.

I know folks in Ward 2 received a mailing this weekend. Same stuff as all the other letters.
I just love the way they accuse the majority of packing the council meetings with NON RESIDENTS. Have they looked at their roster of supporters? The larger percentage are non-residents.
Am I hallucinating or was Purzner’s link to her dot CON website removed from the front page of Overland’s official website?

Just got a third party to check, it is not there on the front page for the city. She still has one but must not be linked to Overlands' now.

The link from the main Overland page was removed a while ago. However, the link still appears on her page on the official site.
Even if it just on her page, it is still on the official site paid for by our tax dollars.
Spydog's argument would make sense IF only a certain percentage of people who voted were required for the recall petition. Unfortunately, it is a percentage of registered voters.
The number needed for the petitions is just under the total number of folks who voted. That would make it a darn near impossible task--something that would only be reasonable in an ORTians mind.

I'm confused, I called the post office, I was told the P.O. Box is correct except for 1 number. He would not tell me the correct number. When I told them the company name can not be found, he told me that doesn't matter, the 1402 bulk rate number is good and had been paid so they have to send them out. He suggested I call another number to see who owns the bulk rate number. Said they received several calls today about the mailings.
Can anyone explain?
But I would like to thank the ORT for making it easier to get signatures for a recall.

Just talked to someone that was at the budget meeting. According to them a few things did get hashed out. Anyone who was there correct this if I'm wrong.
1. city clerk & chief's salary frozen but will not be reduced.
2. dropped $25 thousand for pool study.
3. dropped for now city admin. position.
4. dog catcher ok'd
5. dropped procurement position
6. still fighting over trash
Now for the fun stuff that went on.
Wanda Knode told another councilman's wife to "f" off or you. Was not pretty from what I hear. Supposedly she was going to sign accomplaint against Mrs. Knode, don't know if that happened.

I can hardly wait to see Dougy-Rudz defending some whacked-out interpretation of proper number of signatures required to certify a recall election. Now for a quick break for some live theater.........

Have you been to the Knodes house, from what I've heard from neighbors of theirs you hit it on the head. Best one was when Knode was cutting grass, Wanda screaming, Knode can't hear, Wanda goes inside comes back out throwing stuff at him while he continues to cut grass.
Ok, I take that back, now this is strickly a rumor but I have heard know from 2 different people that this is Wanda's count'um 3rd marriage.
