Get It While You Can, Brother Get It While You Can

They say people don't appreciate things in their lives until they are gone. All things must pass. And if you love someone "set them free", if they return "set them on fire". I was recently watching the un-edited video of Sadam Hussein's execution when I realized the end of the Purzner Era was a little more than a few months away.

Including tonight's scheduled performance of ORTstravaganza, less than ten council meetings remain in Mayor Con's Freak Show. Fortunately, this show will not be held over; here or in Alton for that matter. It is time to send these carnival barkers packing. Fold-up your revival tent, tell Kenny to roll-up the rugs, someone get Wanda back into the trailer and get out the f out of town.

So let me take this opportunity to remind everyone who enjoy a good train-wreck, bad dinner theater or are simply fascinated with Kenny's fashion sense, to not miss tonight's Council Meeting.

City Council Meeting

7:30 P.M. Resident comments
8:00 P.M. Who Knows.

This weeks performance will probably be held in the Munch-mahal but you know how that goes.

(Yes I know Mayor Con will leave City Hall only under three very specific conditions: in cuffs, in straight-jacket or in a box. Humor me.)

Past Overland Mayors have been honored by renaming something of importance in their honor such as The Frank Munch Community Center and Norman Myers Park.

The Overland Recovery Team is proud to carry on this tradition in honor of Mayor Purzner.

I'm still laughing @ Gravy's comment about "rolling up the rugs". Purzner, Knobe, Owenswig and Sellout do resemble and act like carnies for sure. Then there is the side/freak show featuring Wanda effing Knobe.

I will be there tonight.

Ghostbuster karam is lebanese, as in the low-tech ATM scam called "lebanese loops". You know Arabs are from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Arab peoples - or Lebanese, for that matter - could take offense if it were popularly percieved that karam were one of them.
Calling karam Borat might be appropriate, but haven't seen that film.

Ghost of Norman Myers,
I thought only the plaintiff’s attorney fees of 16K were ordered to be paid by the City of Overland, I didn’t read anything about Purzner’s (the defendant’s) attorney being paid from City funds. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Why can't Her Dishonor be held responsible for the court costs she caused by her own actions? Remember that the city attorney, the city clerk and the majority of the council all tried repeatedly to talk her out of breaking the Sunshine Law. She insisted "I am the mayor, I can do what I want" and she did....all by herself.

A single dollar is NOT a fine!!
That certainly does nothing to show respect for Sunshine Laws!!

We now see that for the paltry license fee of One Dollar, the mayor may violate the Sunshine Law for only One Dollar.

The three ORT councilmembers should be held responsible for the $16,000 for none of them had the brains to keep this from happening. Everytime purzner said it takes a 5-2 vote to move the meetings, her supporters were conspiring to violate the sunshinelaw by not doing what state law required them to do.

So punish the victims, by hitting the taxpayers with an order to cover Plaintiff's fees, and gently slap the wrong-doer on the wrist.

Bevis Schock must be out of his mind, to say that plaintiffs feel vindicated. To feel Gang-Raped is a more realistic consequence.

The best spin on this is to see that this mayor just ripped off Overland for $16,000.00.

All the more reason to put this woman out to pasture.

So much for breaking local and state law. What is the status of the federal law suit?

Beavis Shock should stick to being a lawyer and not given free political advice to the Mayor. He is a lawyer not a political strategist. Why would the COGG'S lawyer recommend the Mayor go out and campaign against the recall. SHUT UP Beavis. What Bevis should have said and reiterated the action of the St. Louis County Election Board along with the Missouri Constitution and State Statuates Mandate that a recall take place period. Bevis appeared as a real Butthead tonight.

Guten Nacht Fellow Overlanders:

I'm a virgin here so forgive me I don't write as well you all do. I know right from wrong and I know that Overland is a mess but Overland has been a mess for years. Ann is a lousy mayor but most of Overlands mayors have been lousy Munch and Dody ruled Overland just like Ann does her way or yhe highway. She is pitiful but they all are. I think all the ones up for re-election have to be tossed out in April. To make Overland better the ones that ruined it need to bow out once and for all. New Blood

lucky, it makes sense that the plaintiffs not be required to pay their legal fees, but rather the entire citizenry. The $16k legal fees, ironically, came to one dollar per citizen.

Knode, Sellers and Owensby were also responsible for not complying with the sunshine law. Those candidates opposing Knode and Sellers this season have plenty ammunition. Those incumbents should shut up and go away.
