Congratualtions--Bah, Aplogies--Yes!
I know some folks like to go on and on about how they have congratulated those who supported the recall of the mayor and the return of common sense to government after the April 3 election. However, itsa gonna taka lotta more than that!
I want apologies!
I want apologies for The Overland Watch. Not only was it a waste of valuable natural resources, it was intentionally crafted to be deceiving. The name of the publisher was misspelled and the address of the paper was a non-existent PO Box.
Speaking of non-existent addresses...
I want apologies for the mail that was distributed at the same time the recall petition was initiated. Not only were scare tactics used--a common ORT tactic--but again a false address. When you add in the misstatement from the OPD, it is reprehensible.
I want apologies for the last minute campaigning that painted the COGG (which I am NOT a member) as a dishonest, immoral, and "millionaire-driven" organization. Not to mention the "old biddies" statement. This was a purely citizen-driven movement. Beyond rebuke. This is what we need more of in Overland--citizen participation. Or, at minimum, observation.
I want apologies for all of the lies, mistruths, and distortions presented in the Localite, OverlandChat, as well as Purzner and Knode's websites. You couldn't posssibly believe the stuff you were saying and the way that you skewed what was happening in our city, could you?

Some folks (Donna Dill, Carol Sparkes, et al) have posted that we need to move forward and at the same time they promote the ORTian agenda of lies and deceit. I hate to inform folks, but I can do two (or three or four) things at once. Multi-tasking is not a new concept. I can forward ideas about how government should be run at the same time that I reject and rebuff your lies, mistruths and distortions!!!
Perhaps, instead of pointing the "moving forward" finger at us, they should review Kmode's message on his website.

Suzy, well said. The problem with the ORT people is, they tell these lies so often, I think they actually start believing them. I read Knobe’s website, he is still perpetuating his deceit upon Overland, and he doesn’t realize his lies and deceit got him voted out of office. These people just don’t get it. Mr. and Mrs. Wanda Knode can attend all the meetings and committee meetings they want, they will not stop Overland from going forward in the right direction, they are done in this town.

I was told years ago that if caught in a lie just deny, deny, deny. Eventually after denying it enough, one you not only start to believe it yourself but you can get others to as well.
The ORT & their supporters have perfected it.
A Prediction:
The attendance (within two months) at the council meetings will drop off because disagreeable lying tools like me, Dick Kmode, are no longer on the council. Without Downtown Brown's political lackies mucking-up the proceedings, the Council can get on to representing the interests of their constituents so that it is no longer necessary for the constituents to attend the meetings.
Attendance shot-up when people learned how I, Dicky Kmode, was using parliamentary procedure to avoid the obvious lies I have been perpetrating in regard to the trash issue. My behavior was so outrageous, so disingenuous, so inappropriate, that the only way people could believe someone would act this way was to see it for themselves.
Overlands's government can now get back to representing the residents instead of outrageously using unlawful tactics and improper procedure to implement a policy founded on fraud.
No longer will residents need to come see the authors of the Overland Watch in action. I have been told by several residents that the horrible unsolicited fraudulent and misleading paper Overland Watch brought them off the sidelines to start attending the meetings.
Now that I have been removed from office through the largest electoral landslide in Overland history I want everyone to know that I am not going anywhere. My wife Wanton and I will continue to muck-up anything we touch with or without Mark Brown's support in the hopes that I will accidentally get into an elected office once again.
Viva La Overland!

I haven’t heard anything about hiring an ex employee (inspector). However there is one inspector that is very questionable and on the line.
I believe we all know who that is.
We will have to wait and see rather than speculate at this time.

NGIT agreed. I'm just very worried if they are already starting to make bad choices again. That is why we need a City Adm Pronto and this new council sworn in. I read the suburban journal article and think what Bob Herman said in that article is different than when the issue first came up I seem to remember him in quite an uproar about it. Dody, at first was against it too came out promiting to be a full time Mayor.
Can someone post the suburan journal article and not the editorial up? The tone of the article suggest going backwards instead of forwards and Herman says an election perhaps in November at the very earliest. How would reducing the power of the City Adm and delaying the Mayors race benefits this city? I really don't think it would.

As far as Chuck Boone, I know what I was told as to why he was brought back & it has to do with how Annie handled it in the first place.
I have had to deal with all 3, Karam, Sage & Boone, I'll take Boone out of the 3 to deal with. Just going by my own experiences with all of them.

I agree with some of what you say, no we do not want to go backwards. But it has only been one meeting. And from that one meeting as I am to understand it, they have now hopefully avoided 1 for sure (police) & maybe another long & costly lawsuit.
I was told they pretty much did not have a choice regarding Mr. Boone because of how Ann handled him to begin with. If someone has heard different I'd like to know.
The only thing I've heard about electing a new mayor in Aug. is that is has to be voted on this month so that it can hit the election board by May.
And from what I got out of Herman' Journal article was that the way it was written now for a city admin. is that they are giving that person complete control & that they might want to revisit that before hiring someone.

Music, Wine, Blue, Sybill whoever definitely has a problem. She not only apparently voted for Ann once but twice. Anyone who voted for her & again to retain after what has happened over the past year, is not playing with a full deck of cards. Take a look at who they came up with for citizen comments.
Just look at the Knode', they're supporters are Courtney & Billy & they've even been dropped by the lowest of low in Brown & Purzner. I knew they were disgusting but to be dropped by Brown, how low can you go.
You & others have been beating her & the rest of them on chat with facts the past year to no avail, goes back to deny, deny, deny. I just don't think the posters on the chat ever dreamed of running into the likes of some of you on the OVC or Sailor. This apparently confuses & frustrates them to no end.

A City Administrator can only hire and fire with the consent of the Board and Mayor.
The ordinance reads in part:
SECTION 115.520: DUTIES AND AUTHORITY
The City Administrator shall be responsible for the administration and management of the governmental business, officers and employees and activities of the City subject to the direction and supervision of the Mayor and the City Council. To that end, the City Administrator shall have the duties and authority provided in this Section, as follows:
1. Administrative.
a. Shall appoint all department heads with the approval of the majority of the City Council. The City Administrator shall make all other appointments without the approval of the City Council, except as otherwise prohibited by law or City ordinance. When deemed necessary for the good of the City, the City Administrator may suspend or remove all City employees except department heads without the approval of the City Council. The City Administrator can recommend suspension or removal of department heads to the Council for approval. The City Administrator may authorize any department head who is subject to his/her direction and supervision to exercise those powers with respect to subordinates in that officer's department, office or agency.
The matter was discussed when the issue was finally voted and it passed 8 to 0

What makes it so easy to defeat these ORT people is because they lie so much. Lies are easily exposed. This is why Knode and Sellers lost, by a landslide. But they will repeat the same mistakes over and over, that is all liars are capable of doing. They think because they had some people fooled, that they can get more fools into their fold. It backfired; they didn't realize there are people in Overland with intelligence. Just remember only FOOLS can be fooled by fools. A good example of people who got suckered into believing the lies and deceit of the ORT are 99% of the posters on Overlandchat. They just run off at the mouth with no proof of the lies they spew. Take the idiot Man About Town for example, he claimed Overland Sailor made so many mistakes, he was asked to point them out, he can’t point out any mistakes Sailor made, because Man About Town is a liar. Liars have no proof of the bullshit they post.

I think the reason people are very suspect of Keller is because she aligned herself with liars, deceivers and law breakers (the ORT). Birds of a feather DO flock together. And when she claimed to have an IQ of 160 (an IQ higher than Einstein) and then got nasty without just cause with Michael Oakes. This tends to put people on high alert, and rightfully so. I hope she proves me or anybody else who is suspect of her wrong. Perhaps she will see the lies and deceit of the ORT once she is working on the council and she runs like hell from them.
Just a foot note on this 160 IQ, only 1% of the population has an IQ of 160 or higher. If she had that high of an IQ, Mensa would be hunting her down to join. If she had this IQ of 160 than I’ll bet she was Valedictorian of her graduating class and got a full ride scholarship at a prestigious university and received her PhD by now. An IQ of 138 puts a person on the high side of genius. So you see, I do believe Keller lied about this IQ of 160. And if she claims to be a genius (big if) how did she get suckered by liars and deceivers? Did you know the average IQ of a relatively smart person is only around 100? Einstein averaged around 140 plus. It is extremely rare to have an IQ over 155, very few people in history have obtained this high of an IQ and they have been documented.

I watched the meeting last night; it went very smooth, with just a few squawks out of Owensby and Knode pretending to know more about laws/statutes than an attorney. Otherwise business was accomplished. Jerry May did an excellent job as Mayor Pro Tem. It was refreshing to see the person in charge be able to speak in complete coherent sentences.
