Yes, people in hell want ice water and I guess you will be there soon enough to serve them. Before you pack, here is a reply to some of your statements: (Carol's word in red)
where do you come off saying congratulations on the recall win is not enough.
1. Where do I come off? Where do you come off thinking that your lies, deceits, and half-truths can be glossed over by posting the words "congratulations"? You cannot continue to poke someone in the eye and not expect them to react.

3. Good question! Why couldn't they hold a civil meeting that followed RROR? What was the missing element on Monday? Why it was Queen Ann. Please don't put blame on the actual people who could make a meeting work. Proper blame would be at the woman who couldn't run the meeting in the first place.

4. This again goes back to Queen Ann. She had no grasp of Sunshine Law. Purzner wanted to go into executive session for everything! I seem to remember Ann wanted to go into Executive Session to hammer out the Cozad deal (illegal!). The "four members of the council" showed that they were for open government and would not allow Purzner, Knode, Sellers, and Owesnby run government from behind closed doors.
In addition, you are comparing apples and oranges. The fact that Executive Session occurred or did not is irrelevant. What is relevant is WHAT WAS TO BE DISCUSSED. And if that is not the same, you cannot compare the two.
I WANT TO KNOW IF THE RESIDENTS OF OVERLAND REALIZE THE MONEY WE SPENT ON THE CITY ATTORNEY SITTING IN MEETINGS THAT WERE GOING NO WHERE.
5. Money was also spent on a city clerk, city council members, Chief of Police as well as additional police officers. And, don't forget we also spent money on a useless mayor.
I WANT TO KNOW WHEN THESE STUPID GAMES FOR THE MINORITY OF THE RESIDENTS IS GOING TO CHANGE AND WHEN WILL THERE BE AN AGENDA FOR US TO FOLLOW.
6. I am not sure what you mean here. What are "the stupid games of the minority"? I can only infer that you mean the ORT since they have and will always be a minority in Overland. The majority spoke on Tuesday, April 3.
I am also not sure what you mean by "an agenda for us to follow". After Monday's meeting we are moving somewhat in the right direction. We are restarting the CA hiring process. The election results hearten me to think that these are people who want to make sure the back-room and nepotism riddled politics of the past do not return. A CA should lead to better HR decisions. Professional management will allow us to get those job descriptions in place (based on real qualifications, not the qualifications of the person we want to hire! we agree on that).
But, first we need to get the election results certified and the newly elected council members in place.

Right on, Purzner is gone. They did take Purzner's link down from the overlandmo.org site. This is just the beginning of a fresh start. From what I hear Keller has her own agenda. I don't think she'll heed any warning. Now what she says before she's sworn in & after, I guess could be two different things. Right now she's not facing a couple hundred people at the meetings, nor is she facing 6 1/2 other councilmen she has to sway her way on something she may want or ask for. Time will tell.

I’m not certain of the time frame in which the campaign signs have to come down.
I know Keller claimed to have her own “agenda”. But she pulled the same “free trash” trash bag hanging as the ORT did during Purzner’s campaign. She was heavily endorsed by Owensby and the rest of the ORT. She has said things that mirror the ORT logic and deceit. For one example, she said during the debates that there is money for “free trash” pick up, that is rhetoric of the ORT. Perhaps she will smarten up after working on the Council and shake herself from the ORT, and turn out to be a wonderful Councilperson. Time will tell. Keller was for retaining Purzner, that in itself is scary.
