Waste Deep in the Big Ruddy

It was back in two thousand and six,
Chuck Pleaban promised a simple fix.
When the retainer ran low, Mark sent Tolen pro bono.
And in every case my argument received the deep six.

Now I'm -- waste deep in the Big Ruddy,
and Doogie says lets push on.

Through injunction I sought relief,
from the citizen's that I have caused such grief,
Supporters they are numberin' few, Doggie imagines a political coup,
Feels like when I got my ass handed to me by the Chief.

Now I'm -- waste deep in the Big Ruddy,
and Doogie says lets push on.

Thanks for the links!

Also remember that at the bottom of every article at the Suburban Journal Online there is the option to add a comment. They are moderated, but they seem to be very fair and even handed about it (though it says comments can be 200 words, they never seem to accept them if they are more than 194 ) So take a moment, draft a comment, and let readers of the SJ know what you think.

For that matter, check out this article and let the readers of the OE know what you think (sorry for the shameless plug :-) ).

Sailor,
I loved your article you wrote up about Owensby's "jewlery" nonsense he posted in the Localite. When I saw that "jewlery" article in the Localite, I just shook my head and laughed at Owenswig's sad and low down attempt at slamming Mr. May, Mr. O'Connel, Mr. Schnieder and Mr. Cocoran. This will no doubt back fire on Owenswig.

What a sleezy, sleezy guy this Owensby is. Was that the best he could cough up....some crap from 2002? Award pins that Owensby ok'd back in 2002, oh erm I mean "jewlery". What a DUNCE !!!
Purzner and Owensby must really think Overland is chock full of stupid people. Just check out the Council Meetings, with Mumbles Mayor Purzner Con and Screeching flip your wig man Owensby, that is the perfect example of STUPID !!!!!

Good point Mr. Whitefolks. And b/c he has no job, he has no cake. No cake........ no action. Just a cheap wig, a high pitched scream and the word "bitch" sewn on the inside of his pants. He's like an opossum cornered in the garage, hissing, showing his teeth but blinded by the light.

Get ready for the trouncing. This has been worth the wait.

Doogie will now be facing the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners. No more battle of the bottom feeders with Doogie versus Bevis. He will now face off against Steve Garrett. Steve hails from the firm of Curtis, Heinz and O'Keefe, arguably the best municipal lawyers in the city. They represent and prosecute for cities too numerous to mention in this post.

Con: What does that mean Doug?

Doogie (glassy eyed and confused): I think this means we lost but I'll have to ask my brother..... or maybe one of my brother's friends.

SLAM DUNK.

I'm glad the suit is happening now instead of a week before the election. We can get it ruled on and move on. I hope the judge rules it's without merrit and throw it out!

Did you guys get forced over to the "new blogger" too? I haven't made the big leap to a new template with the layout features (because I'd have to redo everything on the site) but I did clean up the sidebars, add a news feed and an email subscription option, over at The Overland Examiner. Feedback, criticism, suggestions, jokes at my expense, etc are all quite welcome. :-)

If you want to make the jump to a new template I think it would be fairly easy and would be glad to lend a hand if you'd like.

Good point Edgar.

I am working on converting The Overland Examiner into a multi-page site. This way most of the sidebar content could move to "about", "resources", and "voter guide" pages, reducing the clutter.

It would also allow me to report on more things without recent articles being lost underneath the latest ones by posting them on specific "section" pages (similar to newspapers). Promoting it all through a front page with a list of article summaries, and a tabbed navigation bar. The multi-page option would also allow me to solicit articles from others.

The result could be more information presented in an easier to use fashion. However, I have to work out the ins and outs of this new blogger system (or move to another provider).

What do you think? who this approach make the site work better, or would i be trading one problem (cluter) for another (where the heck is it)?

Sailor,

For what it worth, I think you have a great site and it works well as presented. I probably would prefer to see the article headings on the main page rather than the entire article. Like you put it, more like a newspaper site with bullet point headlines, maybe a few sentences and then a (more) icon. Then again, I don't have to do all the work to make it look like that. I would say if the fix is easy, do it. If it is laborious, go with what you have. It works.

Sorry for starting this discussion here. I was looking for input on some new ideas from you guys. However, a discussion like that really needs it's own place (and shouldn't take another sites comments off topic, sorry 'bout that). So I tricked blogger into publishing it without stepping on the current articles and published a piece on site development that you can visit >here and add your input.

Any and all comments would be welcome and appreciated. Thanks Folks!

Opps, I guess I have a stutter today. :-)(please delete that first one if you can)

I checked out the other site to see what it was Danny was up too.

Did anyone else notice that it was posted by DANNYINSPECTR no DANNYINSPECTOR? As for the accusation, it's groundless and inaccurate (as per usual there).

Personally, I avoid that site. When they do bother to post anything at all it tends to be horribly partisan, horribly inaccurate, or horribly mean (and often all three).
