I certainly hope this isn't putting the cart before the horse considering the council has not voted to put the measure on the ballot in August.
HOWEVER...

This must be on the August ballot. We have lost an entire year (and probably went backward 5 years) during the Purzner regime. To attract businesses, as well as home buyers, to our city we must look as if we have a strong and permanent leader. To attract a well-qualified city administrator, we must look as if we have a strong and permanent leader.

I certainly hope that this is voted into reality at Monday's CC meeting.

couldn't agree more suzyjax, but more important than "looking as if you have a strong leader" you have to HAVE a strong leader.just curious, but are there any posters considering "tossing their hat in the ring?"

MB--I agree that it should be "HAVE to have". I debated on that wording. I guess my point was that we look so unorganized as a city that we have to not only have a strong leader but let the world know we have a strong leader.
I agree with you post.

Yes, MB I am throwing my hat into the ring! Free gravy for everyone!

Whether strong or week is of no matter until the costs of transacting in this community is reduced through the creation of a rational/legal development review process and take a more "laissez faire" approach in regard to the uses of entrepreneurial risk capital.

I agree on the rational developement review process, but would't a "hands off" approach be the counter productive to attracting risk capital? Typically accepting risk capital suggest a large ROI over a specified time frame. It would seem that strong management would be essential for attracting entrepreneurial ventures.
