Sybil Defense: The Carol Sparks Method
I really do apologize to the board.
Saying Carol Sparks' "modes operandi" is getting a little old would be an understatement. Carol Sparks has spent the majority of the past year spreading Overland Watch type lies, Overland Watch type innuendo and endless rhetorical gimmicks on OverlandChat through her now well documented set of personalities. Every persona agrees with every other persona in their love of all things ORT. Every persona is just as tedious as Carol Sparks in their self-loathing jealousy for Chief Herron and Alderman O'Connell, I guess.
But that is not all, Carol Sparks even goes so far has to have conversations with herself over the course of months. Honestly people, she has conversations,...... with herself. The only people I know, that have full conversations with themselves are also known to have significant psychological disorders, pathologies and ailments.
I never thought Carol Sparks was actually a lying authoritarian loon that she portrays on OverlandChat. You know, with a "wink-and-a-nod" or a "tongue-in-the-cheek" if you will. That was Carol's little contribution to the ORT. I had thought she was playing "inside baseball".
After reading the conversation she had with herself in regard to the incomplete Cozad development plan, I have had a change of heart.
I asked Carol Spark's second-son, Mike, if he could explain why his second-mother conducted on-line conversations with herself using multiple personas? I hoped Mike could shed some like on Carol's behavior. I am not sure if Mike indulged my inquiry. The only response I have received from Carol Sparks' second-son Mike is a warning to not make my postings personal. Well ok, but I am generally curious why someone would "post-with-themselves" nearly every day of the year. I thought Mike's privileged position with Carol Sparks could provide some insight.
Which brings me to my conclusion. Is Carol Sparks truly crazy or is she getting paid by the ORT to continue this most ridiculous charade? I believe she is being paid because nobody would be so patently disingenuous as Carol Sparks insists on demonstrating daily.
I would like to get the board's thoughts. Is Carol Sparks simply nuts or is her pathetic attempts to lie, cheat and steal the ORT back into relevance a function of her not being qualified to be Overland's top civil defender? I say paid. She needs to fill the income short-fall from losing her place as one of the "good-old-boys".

Actually, my request was for you to leave my name out of your bickering, I said i haven't addressed you directly except to ask you not to make it personal. It appears as though that is exactly what you want to do. I didn't come on here, hat in hand,asking anyone to stop Picking on anyone. I made the statement that both web sites have a definite schoolyard theme. I'm not here to give insight to you or anyone else. As for my "privileged position" Yes I feel it is a privilege for me to know Carol and her family as I do,and have for 40 years. I remember her as the lady who sent me a St. Jude medal when we invaded Panama during Just Cause and care packages when I was in Iraq. I think of her as the mom on the street that watched out for everyones kids, not just her own. I dont really know or for that matter give a shit what her politics are.

I too have the same concerns for the 1,170 that have been hoodwinked by Purzner and bunch. And like you, I am suspect of Keller. I sure hope she proves us 100% wrong, does a 360, and gets the hell away from the clutches of Owensby and the ORT clan. It worries me that she was able to be suckered by the ORT…sigh Or maybe Keller is smarter than we think, perhaps she just used Owensby and the ORT to get “free” campaign help :-).

My understanding of the incomplete Cozad proposal was developed while reading the largely empty boiler plate that Cozad submitted as a development plan.
I can't believe that Carol Sparks would demonstrate such contempt for our serviceman as to impersonate a wounded veteran. I am really concerned in regard to how her second son _______ is going to react to Carol's disrespect for his service to our country.

I wrote this to Carol Sparks' second-son ______ yesterday. Today, Carol Sparks uses the line. Imitation is the highest form of flattery and Carol Sparks has expressed her admiration in "stealing" from my work.
Why didn't you see me at the Cozad meeting? Well, when Cozad stops the "window dressing" and gets down to submitting a complete development plan, I might pay attention. But probably not as I am not on the committee nor the owner of the land nor the developer of the land; therefore, unless I just can't help myself from constantly sticking my grill into other folks' business, I probably won't be found at any of the Cozad presentations.
These public participation meetings are designed to bring the public into the decision making process, but what normally happens is the developer uses the meeting to emasculate public participation. Some folks call these events "Dog and Pony Shows".

Why didn't I attend the Cozad "Dog N Pony" show, well basically it was the result of literacy.
I see what your saying, But I see similarities between the writing styles of quite a few on this blog as well as the other. A lot of folks on here have basically the same style, same basic views and the same disdain for ORT, but that doesn't lead me to believe that they are all the same person. I looked at the other blog site and read a few of MAT's post. I know folks would expect me to be biased, but I really don't see the similarities.

Do I know that the sun will appear in the eastern sky tomorrow morning at dawn? No. Do I have evidence that the sun will appear in the eastern sky tomorrow morning? Yes as the sun has done so in every previous day. Do I know the sun will not appear in the eastern sky tomorrow at dawn? No. Do I have evidence that the sun will not appear in the eastern sky tomorrow at dawn. No.
Therefore, I have no problem accepting the Sybil Argument inference until evidence of the contrary is provided.
Do I know Carol Sparks is in fact OverlandChat's multiple identity poster? (Sybil Argument) I guess not. I couldn't pick Carol out of a lineup if I had too.
Alternatively, I have not been provided any evidence that multiple-personality poster on OverlandChat is not Carol Sparks.
Falsifying the Sybil Argument could easily be accomplished and has been often requested. In fact, a $5,000.00 award is offered to any or all of the multiple personalities if they would contact me individually.
Therefore, I accept that Carol Sparks is the multiple identity poster who is coincidentally the top purveyor of ORTian disingenuousness.
If Carol would come clean, stop conversing with herself and stop posting slanted rhetorical questions, I would stop pointing these items out.
Today's argument with herself about the false claim of military service is exactly what Carol always does when she introduces a new character such as Man About Town.

Just to let you all know about Owensby. Last night a dinner and a meeting with the Overland Business Association and the new council was held. This in order for everyone to get on track and try to get Overland moving in the right direction. Guess who did not show? You got it Owensby. Now Overland and Ward 3 do you see how much he cares about this community.
If he was sick or had an emergency there was a phone number he could have called to say he could not attend. Wake up Ward 3 you still do not have representation.

I attended the meeting about the Cozad plan Mr. O'Connell did not even attend, he call for the meeting. This show you what kind of Coucilmen is he does not even care for his ward.
But he put his two cents in, about the Tax Abatement, this is common practice for St Louis City & County Community to help out Business starting out in the community.
Blowensme has a regular appointment on non-Council Monday's.
He spends the time washing and massaging Ann Purzner's feet with fine oils and lineaments.

A lot of us either have family or friends serving in our Military now or have in the past. It angered me too when he lied about being in Iraq. What soldier comes home wounded and the very first thing he does is hit up a town business planning meeting? That would be the farthest thing from his/her mind. As a matter of fact, the meeting was held a week or so before he supposedly arrived. If a story doesn’t makes sense, in most probability it is not true. It sickens me when people lie about being in the Military, just like the guy who recently got busted for posing as a highly decorated Marine.
In order to be in someone's shoes, you must take yours off first!
Your alarm goes off, you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes.
He stays up for days on end.
You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.
He gets shot at, as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
You put on your anti war/don't support the
troops shirt, and go meet up with your friends.
He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.
You make sure your cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
You talk trash on your "buddies" that aren't with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He does not get to eat today.
You make your bed and wash your clothes.
He wears the same things for months, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
You go to the mall and get your hair done.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.
You are angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He is told he will be held an extra 2-3 months.
You call your girlfriend and set a date for that night.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.
You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own government and remembers why he is fighting.
You hear american Idol, He hears gun fire and bombs.
You see what the media wants you to see.
He sees the bodies lying around him.
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call and write home, sleep, and eat.
You crawl into your bed, with down pillows, and try to get

To walk in someone else's shoes, wouldn't you need someone else to take off their shoes in addition to you taking off your shoes.
If I take off my shoes, he doesn't take off his shoes and we decided to go for a walk, you are really going to have some crowded shoes.
Then you'll walking on a beach with you and your buddy in the same shoes and you notice only one set of footprints.
Imagine your disappointment when you realize that you are not being carried by Jesus.
There are actually many more men like the person described in the poem waiting to be drafted throughout our country.
If we lived in Sparta we wouldn't have a civilian problem.
The men in my generation that volunteered for the service after high school spent most of their time doing supply inventory in a corrugated metal building for four years. My other friend worked 9-5 repairing jet engines and spending the all of his free time fishing while drinking beer. He loved it and retired at forty to spend all of his time fishing and drinking beer.

I hear ya, The poem was'nt really meant to address a problem with civilians or Anti-war sentiment, More so to illustrate what our soldiers go through and have gone through on a day to day basis and how TRULY f**ked up it would be to portray yourself as something your not. I would also say that I'm from your generation, or pretty damn close to it. And while the service you described may be true of some, Others were training daily, fighting in Grenada,Panama, Kuwait and Iraq, Somalia, Bosnia, and a few other places a lot of people have never heard of. I take it you're for the draft? I believe that the volunteer force is the best thing going. Couldn't imagine having to fight next to someone that HAD to be there. Couldn't depend on him. but thats just me bein me
I have mixed thoughts on the draft and more than willing to let professional soldiers make determinations on their manpower needs. I am not qualified to determine the most effective manner in assembling a force structure
Having said that, I do believe that the current volunteer force creates a situation whereby the vast majority of civilians are detached from the personal sacrifices made during war. As a result, true human costs of the war become of less issue to the rank-and-file. Simply because a person volunteered for service doesn't mean that they are disposable nor that we have a right to send then to wherever we want for however long we want. We have all heard some version of the "Hey, they volunteered" argument and only through some form of draft would that idea be emasculated.
Many issues have conflicting yet reasonable positions but that also do not have unique solution. We do the best we can.
