More Facts, Still No Snacks

Miss Jackson is calling class back in session. Before our field trip to Clayton tomorrow, I have provided a copy of the petition for pre-reading.

The following is a copy of the petition that was filed with the Circuit Court. (Aren't you glad that I saved you the trip to Clayton to pick up this information yourself?)

Petition Conlon v Schneider

Thank you Suzy. Once again you are an on the ball gal.

As I have mentioned before, either way Schneider is goofed. It appears he goofed himself up to save a few bucks. Even if the autos were his "company" vehicles, they were still "housed and garaged" in Overland and needed to be registered in Missouri accordingly.

Frankly, I don’t see how Schneider will get out of this one. He was owner and operator of his company, hence had the sole power to register the vehicles within the 30 day time period required, upon moving to Missouri. However, Schneider being owner and operator is really neither here nor there, the autos still had to be registered within the 30 day time period. Heck, if Schneider gets away with this, many people will start registering their autos with out of state companies or private parties (relatives) that don’t have “personal property tax” laws for vehicles, trailers, boats etc.

This could definitely open up a can of worms. Taxes on new Mercedes, Jaguars, BMW’s, Yachts etc, could come with a high price tag of personal property taxes in Missouri. If Schneider gets away with this, perhaps those people could register their vehicles in other states as “company cars” or with out of state friends or relatives and get waivers too or not register them at all for that matter. I don’t think a judge would want to punch that big of a loop hole in the law books.

Exactly!
The candidates and public office holders should be setting the example.

Who really knows Mike Schneider's background over the last 20 years. We know what he tells us but how can we truly verify it?

This is a real problem we have to rely on his word about his background it's not like he is a known commodity.

Conlon has lived here since she was born and Keller has lived here for 23 years almost as long as Schneider was gone.

Unfortunately for Schneider, Tupperware(TUP) is publicly traded and therefore subject to filing quarterly financial statements and very detailed analysis of business plan and franchise information. You can find out the actual performance of the company rather than a vague range of annual revenues.

The home office of the current employer stated that Mr. Schneider supervised service crews but was not a manager of the company. They are based in Cincinnati

Sweaty,

That was something attempted here by your butt lovin friend Ann Purzner and her pedophile attorney Eric Tolen. What was it like when you first met Eric?

What will happen is the mayor of Moline acres will be smacked down as quick as your buddy Ann was when she violated the law.

Fido,
Missouri is one odd state with those personal property taxes. Minnesota does not have them, so there would not be a "like tax was paid to another taxing government agency"

If Keller becomes the Mayor I predict she nominates Ann to relace her. I agree SJ the dodyites may do a write in but I think Conlon wins this race regardless if Mike is on the ballot or not.

Conlon puts the city first and she is all about following the rule of law. The old boys need to go as did the Brown bunch

Mike Schneider has had close to a year and a half to implement his own constructive compliance by settling his tax obligations. If his wife made a mistake, why didn't or hasn't corrected the mistake? If he was living here during 2005, why hasn't he gone to the County and paid his personal property taxes. We all know why. Because he tried to play cute with his personal property taxes and now having been caught, he continues to not due the right thing and pay his taxes.

I didn't need a court order or threat of sanction to pay my property taxes.

She also has a lot of guts I'm sure she was well aware the old boys would really hit the roof and the shit would hit the fan. I believe she is the only chance for real change.

I would like to know why Schneider wants the job of mayor so bad.

Here's what I've heard personally from him & others.

I should not have said rumor about him meeting with Purzner, he admitted that he did. Then went on to say their adgenda was not his. Still waiting for his.

Then I heard another version of same story that he was Brown's in to ward 4, used them, got elected then told them to piss off.

Then I was told there is a picture of him, Purzner, Sellers & I'm not sure if it's Brown or Karam at the Mandrin House, haven't seen it yet.

Then there's this business about the waiver.

Now he might be involved with Schroeder, another problem.

Possibly naming Les Dils as his replacement, one of the original good ole boys from what I've been told.

Gone 20 yrs, says he knew of Brown's & Purzner's reputation, yet still meets with them, why.

Sits there like a stone for the past year, literally does nothing & wants us to vote for him for mayor, sorry don't work that way.

He reminds me of the guy selling medicine off the side of a wagon for a buck, will cure all your ills. He sells it you buy it he leaves & you're still left with the same problem you had before.

Oh, he is using MBC's talking points now.
The man is no substance.

I love Schneider's Cut and Paste Political Agenda. I will give him credit though for plagiarizing MBC's campaign. It represents the first time in which I heard Schneider say something that made sense.

Unfortunately for us, he has little ability to implement MBC's agenda as he has absolutely no public policy experience.

Yes, he wouldn't even begin to know how to implement the policies in which he speaks.
In addition, when you listen to him speak on MBC's points, he doesn't (can't) explain his "policy". You would think he would at least study these points before using them.

When are we going to get a debate scheduled? I want to see these two candidates on same stage. If Schneider keeps dodging such a debate, maybe he will send his wife.

I think there is a candidate forum set for Wed 7/11 in the evening. I think it is at the Lions' Club.

Also, I believe the OBA's candidate forum will be during their July meeting at the community center.

Yes, MBC's credentials have been verified. A person's credentials with MBC's accomplishments are very easy to verify. You can call the registrars office at the University of Missouri in St. Louis. She also works for the largest defense/aerospace contractors in the world. Boeing is very particular in regard to background checks of employees. Credentials are verified prior and during employment.

And above all, to quote Judge Judy, Conlon's representations of herself makes sense.

As opposed to ............

MBC is paying for her legal fees from her and her husband's personal income and savings.

I don't believe they are asking for attorney's fees but Schneider has not responded to the petition fully nor made his partial answers public.

Simply losing a case does not make you subject to paying opponents attorney fees.

New article on Tolen, for some reason I could not create a hyper link, so just copy and paste the above URL into your browser...good read. They mention Brown and Purzner in this article...LOL

The new article on Tolen, also mentions the St. Chuck watch online forum, when Tolen tried suing the owner of the online forum and Tolen LOST. Tolen sued because of comments about him being a child molester...gee whiz, I wonder why Tolen lost the law suit?

Just got back from first part of trial. Ouch. Schneider's attorney had the hair of Mike Brady, the complexion of W.C. Fields and the trial skills of Lionel Hutz. In an attempt to discredit the County Official, this dude actually submitted additional documentation that supported Conlon's argument. I don't think his attorney prepared for the case. At one point he turned and asked Schnieder in a whisper if he had paid the taxes for 2006.

Don't know how the judge looks at these things but one thing is absolutely true.

Mike Schneider is a disingenuous liar.

His defenses are that the County made a mistake in not catching his false declaration, and that is what the County calls it, a false declaration. Or, the oral declaration is hearsay because it was taken by a clerk and that we don't know actually know who made the declaration. Maybe it was the tooth fairy. The County Official absolutely stood by the veracity of the oral declaration as other supporting documents are necessary.

Consistent with common law, whether his wife made declaration or the vehicles were owned by his company is not material to the case.

They were to proceed after a recess.

Hey knucklehead. You would think Judge Judy had made a comment about Conlon's case. Judge Judy often says that the arguments that make sense are more than likely true whereas those that don't make sense tend to not be true.

If there was a numb-skull hall of fame, you would definitely be part of the freshman class of inductees.

Bear asked who was paying for Conlon's Council. I replied by stating it was from their personal resources. No where in the previous sentence to you see a reference to campaign funds.

So what about the campaign funds? Nothing, the funds are for the campaign which is why they are called campaign funds as opposed to personal funds.
