Allegations and accusations 107 and counting

Since the ORT and its supporters can make allegations without any support or facts I figure we are free to do the same...
So here is my allegation of the day.
Music Note paid for the Lions club ad in the Overland Watch
here is my (circumstantial) evidence...
Music note was the first person to bring up the possibility that the ads may not have been placed by the organization that was credited.
Music note has spoke often about being a lions member in fact she has stated that she is in Mew York for the Boston 2006 convention...

So putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5
I accuse you music note of placing that ad in the Overland Watch.
Now if you want to clear your name you can out the person who placed the ad or you can just keep quiet and accept the blame for yourself....

And the pieces fall into place...

I want to thank one of my merry band of misfits for an e-mail he sent me, as I scrolled through it I saw a name I recognized and the parts fell into place. The rag Overland Watch was published by J Kollmeyer publishing. Donna Dills AKA Sweet pickles is (or was I don't know and don't care) married to James Kollmeyer.
So we have to quit giving Skidmark the credit for the Overland Watch. It is the pickle family that published it skidmark probably only provided the presses.

Tidywhitties?

Sometimes they make it too easy. Did anyone else sense the irony in the fact that directly opposite Ken Owensby's column in which he declares that part of his objection to Bob Herman is the fact that Bob Herman represents "adult entertainment companies" is an advertisement for a gay male escort service? Kinda takes the wind out of Owensby's moral sails when his column is next to an ad for underwear clad male massages.

Also I find it amazing that while 90% of the time the major media outlets have to report a "no comment" from Ann Purzner she poured her heart out to the objective columnists from Overland Watch.

A rat from a sinking ship... 115 and counting

I hate reporting on myself on here but I feel it is necessary to give reasons and timeline. Yes my wife and I have decided to move and are actively looking for a house. However:
1. We are locked into a lease til October so that's the earliest we can move.
2. October is planning with everything going right, and any of you who have ever purchased a house knows we will probably be here til the new year.
3. I am going to be managing a new business down in the Imperial Kimmswick area and a 45 minute commute with today's gas prices does not sound like fun.
4. I don't see (without assassinations ---JUST KIDDING---) that this city council and mayor will work together and move this city forward. So long as MB and his cronies hold this much power in Overland I feel the common man will be overlooked for the gains of the ORT.

So those are my reasons. Don't worry before I leave I will post the username and password on here so anyone who wants to can log in and post.

City council meeting 124 and counting

Sadly I was not able to attend last nights city council meeting as business had me in other parts of St Louis county. I really regret missing the meeting as I have heard it was quit entertaining
I have heard that Suzy spoke eloquently and was able to give her prepared comments. I am reposting her comments here for everyone to read.
Please feel free to recap last night meeting and the fireworks afterwards. As one who was born in Overland, went to school in Overland and now owns a home in Overland, I must speak out against the mayor and her recent posting to her website.

Does Mayor Purzner realize the irony in stating that May, O'Connell, Corcoran and Schneider "do not seem to care about the conduction of City business or the bad publicity that has been generated in our community"? It is her illegal actions that have brought out the news cameras and reporters. It is her illegal actions that prompted the county prosecutor to act in the behalf of the interest of the citizens of Overland. It is her "contingency" that put a stop to more city business with Knode, Sellers and Owesnby refusing to show up to the April 10 and May 8 meetings, in addition to walking out of the April 24 meeting.

Mayor Purzner quotes Councilman Knode's appeal to "put our differences behind us and work for the benefit of the City and its residences". Yet, the mayor posts such a vitriol-filled statement she makes even more enemies. The mayor is supposed to be a leader and as such should set the example. Yet, she has proven time-and-time again that she doesn't have this important leadership skill.

Most importantly, the citizens of Overland will not stand for the disrespect of themselves or their laws. In regards to the protestors, Ann asks "are these people children" and likens their actions to the "mentality of a two year old". Perhaps the mayor would prefer a city of sycophants, similar to those in which she surrounds herself. Despite the mayor's ramblings, these are not the actions of two year olds, but actions that will be 230 years old this July 4. It is in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence that these people protest for an OPEN government that follows the checks-and-balances written into Overland law. These protestors are defending their rights, both explicit and implied, in the United States Constitution as well as Missouri statute and Overland ordinance. It is not only their right to do so, but their duty to protect democracy on the local level.

Purzner claims power through "a free and democratic election," yet chooses to not abide by the laws that are the key to such a "democratic" society. She ends her note by threatening to do "everything in your power to accomplish" campaign goals. Our problem is that Mayor Purzner has overstepped her powers and then stepped on the people she was elected to represent.

Veto 130 and counting

Well I guess it was too good to last. Mayor Purzner has once again landed Overland in the pages of the post dispatch with her antics. What is going to happen next? Will Herman sue the city for non-payment? And who is gong to pick up the tab? Oh of course the tax payers. Wow, moving is looking better and better everyday.

Mayor rejects legal bills over police chief
By Norm Parish
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
06/07/2006

OVERLAND

Mayor Ann Purzner has vetoed a plan to pay for legal work to help a police chief she tried to oust.

In a letter last week to the city, Purzner vetoed a resolution that would have authorized the payment of legal bills from City Attorney Bob Herman, whom she also attempted to replace when she took office.

The City Council, by a 4-3 margin, agreed May 30 to pay Herman more than $8,000 for work dealing mostly with legal disputes over Purzner's unsuccessful attempt to remove the police chief. But at the council meeting, the mayor said she opposed the board's decision to pay Herman, questioning whether he was properly authorized by Overland to represent the chief.

The council needs six votes to override the veto. But city officials said that probably won't happen because three council members agree with the mayor.

Herman said Purzner's veto sets "a bad precedent."

"This sets a precedent that the city will refuse to pay for the legal defense of their agents, servants or employees when they get sued while conducting their business," Herman said.

Purzner could not be reached for comment. In the past, Purzner has said she would pay for her own legal fees involving the police chief.

In the case, a judge ruled last month that Purzner had exceeded her authority by trying to suspend Police Chief Jim Herron and replace him.

The controversy came to St. Louis County courts when the county prosecutor, Robert P. McCulloch, filed a suit charging that Purzner exceeded her authority by installing former Frontenac Police Chief Ben Branch without approval from the City Council.

Until last week, the City Council had not completed a full meeting. Several council meetings had either failed to start because too few members showed up or ended abruptly because too many walked out.

131 and counting and stalking revisited

I am alive and well, I have not been drug off to a re-education camp for political indoctrination. It's just been really quiet lately. On the other site there is just a lot of he said she said he is worse then she is going on. I don't find that senseless accusations and baseless rumors move debate forward.
But I do have a list of things I want to know:
1. Are we going to have a fourth of July celebration?
2. Is the city going to negotiate with some other city for pool usage?
(Can I recommend Clayton this year instead of Woodson Terrace I like a pool with lap swim lanes)
3. Has anyone done any kind of study as to what it would take to rebuild/ repair legion?

And revisiting an old subject...
A friend of mine who works for the FBI is in town visiting family. While he was over at my house I showed him this site and asked if there was anything to Brownie Pickles threat. He stated that since the supposed statement of stalking was made on the net, it would have been turned over to the FBI. He then told me that Brownie Pickles would be politely asked to leave and not waste the FBI's time. If she pushed it she would be charged with filing a false report. He told me that in no way would the statement be construed as stalking by an agent. So Check and Mate.

itemized V. flat rate 135 and counting

The latest thing to get a bee in teh bonnet of the ORT is getting an itemized bill from the Bob Herman. they keep claiming that the city did not get an itemized bill from Mr Herman for his services. However iof you rewind the tape you will hear Owensby (over the strenous objection of his wig) reading teh itemized bill from Herman. The bill list specific times and dates of research and times and dates of court appearances. That is what an itemized bill is. What more does the ORT want a list of which books Herman looked in (or more appropo which books his paralegal looked in) and who he interviewed?

Next item...
the mayors message in the localite.
Someone in the ORT is pissed today. They have to be. Because last night half of Overland turned to the mayors message read it reread it and scratched their head and said "what the hell is she talking about?" Someone was supposed to catch that message and proof it before it went out to the public. but it wasn't and the public got to read the way the mayor is thinking. One frind of mine who works in the mental health field said she is showing signs of being on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I am truly concerned about our mayor and the toll that the bad adviceshe has been given is taking on her.
